Triumph recalls

I just found I have outstanding recalls for my ST (more of them actually). You can check your VIN at the triumph website. Might be worth a look...

Triumph

Re: Triumph recalls

What have the recalls pertained to specifically?

Re: Triumph recalls

The Triumph page doesn't give you information unless you have a vin number..

2006 Triumph recalls

2007 Triumph recalls

Per: Sprint ST's
Quote:
On certain motorcycles, the rear drag link-through bolt may bend and, if not replaced or overloaded, may fracture causing the rear tire to contact the underside of the rear mudguard.

Specifically.

Re: Triumph recalls

I looked under 2006 Hondas, and practically every model had a recall notice!!!

Containing this-

Quote:
On certain passenger vehicles and motorcycles, the owner's manuals contain incorrect contact information for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) vehicle safety hotline.

Yeah, mine needs that... I was wondering why the bike was making such a loud noise and the rear tire was locking up...

This is not standard Triumph behaviour?
I need to check that site for my son's 955 Daytona.
We have had several electrical issues with it. I think we finally got the charging system problem straightened out. We replaced 2 crimp conectors in the main wiring harness with solder joints, and the wires don't overheat anymore.
When I get home I will post a story with pics on what we did.
Of course this is NOTHING like the days of Lucas wiring, eh Fogey?
