Awesome..... just before the winter..... give it plenty of time for a Michigan Winter to heave that surface......

    Just kidding... nice to see.

Sweet, considering the only part of that track where the track surface really bothered me was turn 3.

This will have me down to 3 minutes flat, for sure!

Oh and speaking of Grattan, look at what I found in my desk the other day...

Didn't know about it. Sure looks smooth with the repave, but the bumps will still be there since it doesn't look like they milled the old surface. It looks like they just applied an asphalt topcoat, which can be slick. Hope the cars don't destroy it before our MCADX event...maybe we should move it to May this year!

I didn't see them paving any of the surfaces "I" need...

The new pavement it's going to be the cherry on top.

I didn't think you could pave over tire walls

That's a good thing, ain't it? Might be painful otherwise.

    LOL... yea yea yea...

I have my speedo taped over, I was just talking outta my ass.

For the most part though, I was gettin a decent drive onto the strait.

I was actually slower on Northern's 1KRR than my Gixxer6. Prolly has alot to do with my comfort level on my own bike. And i was scared shitless that the rear on Northerns 1K would wash away from under me if I got on the gas too hard. With the 600 i could just crack the trottle open through the last turn.

Ohh man, it's going to be a long winter...

Let's hope they didn't use the company that repaved Summit Point Main. Those of you on the east coast will get that!

Very cool!! So, when are the McAdx days this year? I must start planning. Gonna be a long winter, the antifreeze is already back in the track bike.

I was interested in that they listed it as three phases. That almost seemed like a total repave even though that one section was just done (and nice)

I thought they already had a plan. Pave new 10' sections at a time.. each year. No more cracks for brake markers

So I wonder how much of this was a result of STT being the soul track day provider. Wonder how that panned out then.

if you don't want cracks go to another track. The weather and ground there are a problem. Also they aren't using one of those Roadtec machines that make for no cross seams so wherever one truckload of asphalt ends and another beings will be a spot where the nice winter snow melting then freezing again will make for cracks.
