Anyone want to do Grattan next Saturday? (5/30)

I'm strongly considering going. I heard Frenchie might me running close to a 30 flat so I figure if I don't want to get passed by a girl I better get my act together and practice.

It only sucks if you're not man enough to realize she's got more skillz and you can learn something from her.

I sometimes feel like I have to lower the level of my questioning to ensure that you understand what my question is actually asking!

There we go again LOL Man.... I love the attention LOL

Seriously.... I had a great time at Grattan going counter clock last weekend. Did bring a first place in the Novice Senior. It was the best fun race I had passing and getting passed by this guy... I look forward to Nelson now and see what he has to offer there.

BTW... Penske Rear Shock... I never knew a bike could feel like that LOL

If Big D stay at his dad that weekend/week, I will try to go under 1:30 but if he's with me, I may go back to 1:35 LOL

BTW.... The senior expert were going 1:22 so I am still very slow LOL

We are all still very slow. Even the guys running 1:22 would get their ass kicked by others. That's what I love about this sports, there will ALWAYS be someone there to kick you ass. So much room for improvement.

Funny how that Penske felt like ICE before you got it dialed in though. Just proves that now matter how much money you spend on better components unless its set up properly you won't realize it's potential.

I learned that the hard way.

I was wondering how your race on saturday went.

well, it was set the way Thermo man said except my stupid ass counted 20 click the other way so it was on 13 instead of 20 LOL Then set the rebound to 3 instead of 4 and Badda Bing...

I can wait to see my time at Nelson... first time I was at 1:26 then dropped to 1:22. Hope to be 1:18 by Race weekend June 12

I am going to try and be there. ( On a side note, monte and/or bonnie were not there from what I could tell on the 15th.) Some other guy was running the show.

There are 3 other STT events the same weekend I think. Or were until BG went out. They can't be everywhere. Let me know if you are going as the time gets closer. I'll probably book this weekend.

and the guys running 1:22 that weekend were doing it going counterclockwise. Hasn't Jensen run 1:17s going clockwise at Grattan?

There was one guy at one of my track days Frenchie said did a 17. Can't remember his name. I believe Brent from Apex does 19's. I wonder what kind of times someone like Spies or Rossi could get out there. My goal for this year.. breaking the 30 barrier

I believe Jensen was there doing the counterclockwise day. He has one of those giant motorhomes. I don't know what his times that day were though.

I just hope they don't make me wear the orange vest again as the designated "rolling pylon." That was so embarassing.

Robert Jensen has the lap record at Grattan, 1:17.399. He did that last year going the right way. Tray Batey is the only other racer that I know of that has run in the 17's, chasing Jensen on that same day last year. Brent has been in the 19's before while chasing Larry Denning. Brent did beat Larry on occasion.

Jensen won 7 races at Grattan two weeks ago. He was running 1:22s counter clockwise. Said he was bored after is 3rd race on Sunday. My guess is because there was no one there to push him. His motor coach and bike trailer are impressive! Its his home on wheels. After Grattan, he and his mechanic, were heading straight to Miller for two weeks, then back to Florida, I think. His mechanic said they have like 17 straight race weekends once they left Grattan... Must be nice! I bet he makes 6 figures in contingency money from April to Oct...

Shoot, he'd have to make at least 6 figures to keep up with his overhead and pay his mechanic.

Winning like he does, Im sure he clears that much, minimum. I wonder what his win percentage is... Makes you wonder why he doesnt have a factory ride. He would probably make less money! lol
