If Hammer don't have room for you I'm planning on taking an enclosed. I'll make room for it in there overnight.

MrsSlick said she thinks a trip to KY to spectate could be cool. We'll have to see how finances look as the time comes closer. If we come we'll probably be looking for a campground in the area. Yes, even with the baby, we're hardcore (cheap) like that.

I think I'll pass on the Belterra and use that money toward a suspension upgrade.

I'm all for nice big meal in the evening. Goes the same for a big breakfast. It looks like the Florence exit has more? The other bigger exit to the south is just as far from the track and seems to have less. I'm flexible though. Thanks for posting the info Bake

Oh and slick.. please tell the Mrs not to taunt MrsSilver with the new baby. I've just started to relax from the our first, and she's already on me about another. I think I need another bike first but we'll keep that on the "down low".

    I can't make any promises.

In all honesty now that I have one (child) and am at that phase in my life I don't see any reason to wait too long for the next one. We know we want more so I'm not planning to prolong the inevitable. It might mean a delay in the Ducati purchase but it will probably be worth it. bwhip had some great words of advice on this subject and we all know how awesome his bike collection ended up...after his collection of awesome kids.

Florence definitely has more options, and is probably the best bet for you guys coming down from the North. Just be advised, it's smack dab in the middle of urban sprawl. (Doesn't really matter to me, as we'll spend almost no time there other than to sleep and eat dinner)

Here are a couple of places for you to browse. There are probably other camping options, but these were the only two that I'm familiar with.

What I heard was weather has prevented the finishing of paving as anticipated (global warming).

When I was there a few weeks ago, things were still pretty soft, and lots of paving yet to be done. No way they were going to get the April dates in....I just hope the weather cooperates and the May dates can work...

Came across a few new youtube vids. (on 4-18) Several spots in the track that have dirt washed across it. Not sure if it's from wind or water but I hope they get some hydroseed down or something over the next month.YouTube - Bluegrass Motorsports Park

My thoughts exactly, and thats not the only youtube video like that. Glancing over it looks like the parking lot might be gravel too.
