Save your breath, I very seriously doubt that Monte will do that.

Why give a discount...the event will sell out.

Maybe I'll tell him after I hit 160 I'll put one of his stickers on my bike

OK.. won't waste my time then. How far in advance you think they'll sell out?

Yep don't waste your breath.. Monte will flat out tell anyone that they don't give "group" rates. Thats business. They do occasionally sponsor riding groups and give out perks such as gift certs and the occasional free track day for charity events.

as far as the dates selling out I wouldn't wait around to sign up for these events.. this development of a new high level track has been some pretty big news in the Central region for the past few years and all the track riders I know have all been excited about it..myself included

How many from Michigan are going? I am just a bit hesitant to go with STT again for this as they have pretty much ruined each of the 2 experiences I had at Mid-Ohio. Maybe if I just run in the advanced class it would help?

Hey Bake, you got an extra room at your house?

I was just informed that this is the wifey's anniversary.

She was not too fond of this idea.

There isn't any way that I could come ride but it could be a "doable" trip for the wife and I to come spectate a bit and have a cool road trip. I might try to make it happen. 10 hour drive from my house.

I'll start greasing the wheels on this (and put money in a jar).

10 hours 7 minutes from Waukee, Iowa, according to mapquest. I've found that I can subtract roughly 45 minutes for every 8 hours that mapquest predicts if I'm driving alone. With my wife along their estimates usually are pretty close. With a wife and 6 month old baby I'm sure I should probably add two hours.

I'm planning to ride down to spectate in April, though.

Does anyone have info on local places to stay? I've tried a few searches but most want to redirect to Cincinnati. If I'm able to go, I'd rather stay as close to the track as possible.

The other issue that might affect whether or not I go is I still have an open trailer, and I'm not liking the idea of leaving the bike in the open.

Same here, but i have come up with a few in Kentucky, but not an abundance of them in that area.

As far as storage trailer, I will get back to you on that.

The wind was BAD and the storms were brutal.

The next two weekends are, most likely, no-go for me. If you go the weekend of 3/28, let me know. I may be able to do a long day trip if you don't mind a slow tagalong.

Doh...I meant Saturday, yesterday would have been a little interesting...

I have to go to Cincy this week by car, so I may dip down by Sparta on the way home...otherwise, I'll keep 3/28 on the calendar...

One exit south there is a Ramada (Sparta) and 2 exits at Carroll there is a whole bunch of them (farther but more facilities). There is one at that exit but it reminds me of the one at the Barber exit

Ahhh... I made the assumption that the recon was by scoot.
