Many know I go way back with Jim, and I respect that guy....def doing business off people's passion rubs many wrong.
FWIW How many people on the track at a time, common skillset of each group, and how much control/respect is required of the riders leads inevitablly to a safe and well run event....teaching learning and bringing along the young riders into a good rider certainly is also very rewarding.
.....and the Addix day's, well that is the model of a PERFECT DAY! the friendship and emphasis on safety, THANKS FRANK!!!!!!

sycophant.... what a deliciously appropriate word.

This is Eric from Apex2apex.net. We love you guys! By not allowing a competitor to rent the track, you limit competition so you make more money. From an owners perspective; it’s a good idea, customers perspective; not so much. Everything else is smoke. This is just a boring story about making more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ But, in the spirit of all B.B.S’s everywhere let me clear my throat.
STT as my first trackday
Monti's Comments about Me. My first trackday was with Reg Priedmore (Jason Priedmore's Dad) 1998 then went racing with GLRRA 1999 before there was a STT. I have attended and instructed for STT. And strangely, I have a good relationship with Bonnie and thought o.k. with Monti.
STT Supersecret Manual
I have never seen Monti's coaching manual. Monti is mistaken if he thinks he shared this with me. He has never shown me this manual nor have I ever seen this manual. You really don’t need to have a manual to run a trackday business.
A2A Supersecret Manual
We also have a secret manual that I will reveal to all free of charge. Our model is love helping other riders, love being at the track, provide humble instruction and love riding with the skill to deliver awesome instruction. A2A only surrounds itself with accomplished genuine motorcycle racers that have nothing to prove to the customers and just have love for the sport and being at the track. So how did we do it without the STT manual? First, our background. The A2A method included myself as an accomplished racer with numerous regional and championship wins, including racing in Pro A.M.A. Superbike and Supersport events such as Daytona, Mid Ohio, Road America. I have attended too many schools including but not limited to Keith Code, Jason Priedmore, Freddy Spencer, Danny Walker American Supercamp, Kevin Scwantz, Team Chicago, GLRRA race school and yes STT. My business partner held a #1 Dirt track plate and has won Wera National events and also has obtained his Pro A.M.A. license. Our instructors primarily all race so they are current on their skills and most have also attended many of these schools. We chose humble fun instructors with championship wins, thus have nothing to prove to our trackday riders. We chose racer/instructors that are trying to better their riding skills and value tracktime not ego of showing off to customers. We do study our competitors and try to take the best elements of their program (including STT )and add our magic mojo. In the end it’s us and our instructors that make the difference. We can spot certain things in your riding style and have the skill to properly demonstrate to you. We, as owners, are at your event and on our motorcycles riding with you. This is an advantage we have because of our size. You get more personalized attention. We are flexible. We have a tire machine at every event. We are quick to pick up a crashed bike and more likely to spot a person who is likely to crash to prevent this. We have been fortunate of low trackday shutdowns. We are really one of the top trackday company events because we work so hard and genuinely care. We sell Pirelli tires and have converted many Michelin riders. We can help set up your bike at the track. You can get your Wera race license with us at every event for $85 and upon successful competion a discount off your first race. We do not overload the track because we ride out there and we hate an overloaded track.
Monti’s disparaging comments.
Monti's disparaging comments about our track dealing is a backdoor way of badmouthing us and detracting from STT getting an exclusive on Grattan. We are welcome to rent from Putnam, Gingerman and Autobahn (unless STT is working on getting more exclusive rights). We have played hardball with track owners to deliver a trackday to our riders at a reasonable price. Again, we study our competition. Our home track has been Grattan. The majority of events were at Grattan. We made the biggest impact on STT at Grattan.
Beaverun Friday, September 4th. $100 for first 10 spots!!!!
We are running Beaverun on Friday, September 4, 2009. Come out and ride on Friday. We and all our instructors race the next two days with Wera. You can also get your race license on Friday and race on Saturday. First 10 spots get to register for $100. These spots are not transferable. A2A has no membership fees. We ride with you. Stick around and watch us race on Saturday and Sunday.

I grind for our riders and our event. But Sam loves me and wants to rent us Grattan. He specifically instructed us to call Monti to get dates and upon Monti giving us dates, he will rent. We called Monti but were never given dates. We have made repeated attempts to contact Monti to try and get dates.

What is your experience with A2A and its owners/instructors and experience with STT and its owners/instructors. Feel free to post.
The funniest experience/story gets a free A2A T-Shirt.
A2A has never targeted, badmouthed or discouraged other people from Stt or trackday organizations or race organizations. We race/ride with different groups and ride when we can. We believe go to as many trackday companies and, if you have the skill set and feel comfortable, race at least once in your life.
I have noticed Monti has removed his posts about A2A and this is greatly appreciated. If I am correct, I will gladly remove this post as well.

i have a video somewhere of myself coming out of the carousel at mid-ohio and right in my line is an instructor going really slow looking backward and i about nail him. luckily i had just enough room on the outside to just squeeze by at the last second as there was someone taking the inside line in front of me, never had something like that happen before. if it werent for so much street experience dodging various things i would've been in real big trouble.
damn i wish i could find that video.
thanks for the info.
p.s. does that get me a shirt? seeing as how my brand new stt one has been made a grease rag

How in the hell did you get Frenchie to shut up, or did you accomplish that?
She is like this little guy on a case of redbull and caffeine.

Not an experience with A2A, but worth a hat.

Anyone that attended Addicts 3 day events at Grattan know what I'm talking about. There's no other place you can feel everyone coming together to have the time of your life and to do what you enjoy so much. (I do hope to make it at Addicts this year)
Eric, I will see you at Beaverun for sure and you and Brent can count on me whenever you need help at any track.
x2 I loved instructing for them and thank them for all the help they gave me in order to venture into WERA. The best group of riders I have ever met. The students always awesome to teach. I miss them tons this year.

Thank you so much Jane for your kind words. We also greatly appreciate your help you have given A2A. Plus anyone that throws their hat in the ring to push to go racing gets my respect.

I was wondering when Eric would respond. I exclusively went to A2A events since trackoholics. In many ways it was trackoholics-the same great people etc. Mike, Jim is a great guy-he's passionate about riding, teaching and helping-unfotunately he was also very passionate and vocal about his "fued" with Monte. I have a lot of fond memories of trackoholics, riding with so many great guys and gals. There were the other great and fun co instructors-not to mention all the fun that happened off the track during those times.
Monte has and still does rub people the wrong way. I still refuse to ride with STT-dont want to contribute to anyone who has taken advantage of me and my friends in the past-that happened before trackoholics-thats why I joined trackoholics. My passion for riding and going slow infront of every one has not diminished I'm just too busy with the kids to go back to multiple track days-when they are older and I can get back into it I hope there will be other options available-like A2A or I hope more private days among friends are permitted-until then I'm just going to the Addicts days.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to instruct for you guys. I absolutly loved it and miss doing it tremendously. When time permitted, both Allan and Jig spent quite some time with me both on and off the track helping me with the skills I needed to improve. The A2A crew are by far the most talented riders of any track organization I have met. I put their skills up there with the instructors from the Keven Schwantz Suzuki School (that is where I first met Allan as well who was going through the school at the same time as I was).
I know that you guys are greatly missed this year by a large number of supportive customers.

on similar subject: anyone have the info on what is going on with Mid-Ohio? Did they pull all deals, doig their "own" thing????
:ears:

Age of bike + rider = 78 !!
No reliable info yet, but STT and Mid O are clearly separated, which suits me just fine.
Hope he pisses Sam off next.

the timing is odd to me. doesnt make sense that mid-ohio is so stupid that they just now understand that "cutting out the middleman" saves money. a theory thats being spread. hmmm interesting. not to mention its the middle of the season. wonder if my old thread has anything to do with it....... mid-ohio is the only track that ran strictly STT no matter what.
i think someone got a few official questions asked because of all the eyebrows raised and are "dropping it like its hot." the timing is just about right......live by the sword and die by the sword.

Or at least have your seating options severely limited by the sword..
