Hey there,

Basically the difference between the single school days and the two day camp are as follows:

Single day schools have three groups of students that rotate: Classroom, ride, break, classroom, ride, break....you get 5 classroom sessions and five riding sessions per day. Also, if you are in level 1, 2 or 4 then we have one off track exercise for you to do (level 3 does something different) Level 1 does the steering drill, 2 does the lean bike and 4 can ride the slide bike depending on the layout of the track. Student to coach ratio is 3:1

A two day camp format is different in that there are only two groups of students and less riders on the track at one time. You still get 5 classroom seminars per day but you also get 7 riding sessions. In a two day camp you have your choice of riding ANY of the off track bikes, including the emergency brake rig, you get to ride the camera bike once each day and have it reviewed by a coach, and the student to coach ratio is 2:1. If you can do a two day camp than I highly recommend it. However, you can also do two single days back to back if you like. The two day camp format steps up the schools service in terms of personal attention and time with the coaches as well as offering more extra's.

hope that answered your question and let me know if you have any more! Barber is an awesome track!!! One of my FAVS!!!

Misti

WOW, talk about a lot of track time.
What days do you teach misti? if you say all of them you're on the list of people I hate along with Bwhip.
If you were to recommend someone(like me) a 2 day course, what track would you be doing it at? What's your favourite one and why?

I'm getting there! My biggest obsticle was to find appropriate track gear to fit, and not break the bank. I finally have it all, now to get a waist zipper put in. Getting the pants to fit in the boots is gonna be a bioch.

Being short and female, there aren't a lot of choices in gear out there.

are the pants made to fit over the boot and the boots made to fit inside the pants? if you got over boots pants or under pants boots the chances of getting the other one wrong are probably pretty good as those are fairly uncommon ways of doing it. I know Dianese makes some stuff like that (like Rossi's stuff) but not sure how many others do.

Hey, I used to teach at ALL of the school dates! Been working for the school for 5 years but yes, I do have a kid due at the end of May so I won't be coaching too much at all.

For a two day camp, most of the tracks are really good. My favorite out of the ones they are going too this year is Barber. I love track facilities and location and the track is super fun with elevation changes and blind turns. Sears Point (Infinneon) is also great and so is Miller. The Streets is really fun too because it is tight and technical with 14 turns and a little bit of everything, plus the weather is really predictable there. And Vegas is a fun place because, well, it's Vegas! Hahahah. Basically what I'm saying is all the tracks are fun and offer certain things!

You will have fun regardless of where you go! I probably won't be there but all the coaches are great and you will learn a lot! Have fun!!!

That's it, You're worse than Bwhip, you get paid to ride someone elses bike at that many track days... hahaha j/k some one has to live what most dream of right...

I have always wanted to do barber. I was at spencers last year in vegas and while it was fun I don't think that I will be going back there anytime soon. Not really "me"

I'm gonna have to check if there are any CSS dates before/after the WSBK event. that would be fun for sure.

Thanks for the insight. Good luck with the pregnancy.

The Frank Thomas pants are for "in the boots", they just are so long they actually cover the tops of my safety boots (hiking boot style). The new Alpinestars are so tight around the ankle zipper I don't think I could get them closed without ripping it. The pants look to need about 3" cut off the bottom to fit right. I've got an inseam of 26".

The jacket is a Power Trip and fits fine. I've got enough zipper parts from the two to make things fit together.

Hahah, I was Living the Dream!!!! Coaching and racing for the past 5 years has been awesome! Thanks for the good luck wishes, going to be a little different than traveling and riding and racing all the time but I'm sure I will love it! And I'll hit the track when I can

Good luck with getting yourself to a school and getting to Barber! Fun stuff!

Are you planning on getting back into it after all the "mom" things are tended to?

You'd be the coolest mom on the PTA for sure.

Thanks! I'll be riding in some way or other as soon as possible! And you can bet that the little'un will be riding ASAP as well. I was just at the Seattle Bike Show and picked up a few little onsie's that say "Future Road Racer" and "Biker in Training". My husband is an ex pro motorcross racer as well so the kid should have some ingrained riding genes!!!

I'm hoping to get back into coaching with the school a few days here and there as well. I really love working with the students and seeing improvements. It's an awesome job!

Ride safe

I'd really like to get back and do level 3 and 4 or the code RACE this spring. But the Canadian dollar has been crap against the USD. You guys need to drop that interest rate some more.

Someone asked about a mid-west school, and one was added after Misti's original post, in Mid-Ohio, Agust 26-27. That is a fun track.
