You don't need a race license for track days. I'm not sure you license will be good US.... I know it would for the race series I'm in in Canada..... don't know about the US.
Load this in google earth, Race tracks and Google earth You should find all the track in your area and more. Check out CCS and WERA for racing, they are the main series in the US.

Hey, jetpipe. Just saw your intro thread. Posted a Google Earth kmz file for you there.
For most organizations, you won't need a race license to do trackdays. And having the race experience you do, I don't think you'll have any issues. Check these sites to start: www.nesba.com www.sportbiketracktime.com There are other smaller organizations like www.floribamariders.com that setup trackdays also, it's just a matter of finding the locals around you and asking who their riding the tracks with. Many will be posted in the forum here as they are found too.

Welcome! From Pensacola I would think that TGP, Barber and Jennings are your close tracks. Both TGP and Jennings are smaller more basic tracks but inexpensive to ride and fun. Barber is just fabulous and be sure to set aside time for the museum if you get up that way. Check the Barber in the fall thread. No guarantees on how many members show but it might be a way to meet some of them.

There's some schools down that way that, once you complete them, you're eligible to get a race license with WERA? Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School at Road Atlanta Raceway is one. Is Ed Bargy another? Cornerspeed?
I don't race, I'm just a trackday junkie. No racing license required for that.

In any case, be very careful with this American Racer types. They have the tendency of getting on the way of Europeans and make us t-bone them. That includes Canadians too.
