A2A at Gingerman 07/26

You know it, I will be there but this one is really for a great cause.

All profits from this event are donated for the fight against Breast Cancer.

Hope to see some of you there.

V~

they called me the lawnmower after my outing at Gingerman-granted I kept it upright but I did spend a fair amount of time on the grass. Maybe I need to go to the school to get a better appreciation of the track-have fun V

I really enjoyed the track. It has a different feel from some of the others, and you do need to learn where to go fast at. My STAR school was there after I had raced there some, and I learned a bit about better lines then.

Remember, no track is a "bad track", just ones that offer opportunities to learn that you might not be looking for

BTW, how is the surface holding up? I haven't been there in years so it would be nice to know condition for future consideration.

It asn't changed since I was there last time which it was 3 years ago.

I agree with you on "there is no bad track" Jason was telling us that you learn greatly with tracks like that.... adjusting is a good habit... just like racing in the rain which he adores and use it to his advantage.

I am really excited to go back and see how I feel on the first session and compare it to last Monday.

Good to hear it is holding up.

Racing in the rain is great, and who needs rain tires when you have a good set of DOT's? I had a great time in the rain, usually scoring some good finishes, and always beating at least half of those running rain tires. I guess I just didn't need to slow down that much to adjust for conditions

Start visualizing the track now and looking for areas to improve ... where you could be going quicker or need to slow down more, and where you should be on the track. I would always find a second or two the "second day" after I worked through it. Have fun

I think I was to gas greedy when I went there-that caused a lot of mistakes-plus it was a totally private day with most of us never seeing the track before. The track is grippy and Very Very Forgiving though I'll give it that much. Maybe Next year I'll be able to get there and hopefully one of you will be there to show me the proper way around that place.
