CLOTHES. (and sundries, if on an extended trip). Well, only if you wear clothes, of course.

I had everything, but left the clothes bag in the bedroom. Luckily I could buy a t-shirt at the track for under da leathers.

Where's the check box for the motorcycle itself?

Re: The Track Day Check List

I was thinking about this the other day. in addition to the stuff mentioned I thought of a couple more:

ramp (for anyone not bringing a trailer)
tire repair kit for the truck.

Why not use the spare tire that came with the vehicle?

what if you get a second flat? what if you don't have a spare trailer tire?

I figured for $8 I get a pack of plugs, rasp tool and plug install tool. why not have it with me.

How will you air the flat tire up? I carry an air compressor with me though. It comes in handy at times.

    see post #23

if you really wanna go all out, bring some starting fluid and matches in case the tire comes off the bead.

Trick is to catch it before it goes flat. The plugs go in much easier if there is air in there. Usually nails have been slow enough to notice unless you've just started a 2+ hour stint on the highway.

I picked up a bolt (about 3/8" ) in my car tire going over the bridge to Canada, I could hear it clunking on the bridge. I had enough time to go through customs, drive to the nearest Canadian Tire, buy the plug kit (had forgot mine at home ), plug the tire, and still had 10lbs left to limp across the road to the gas station with an air pump. Lost maybe 15 minutes in my trip to Shannonville

Re: The Track Day Check List

i had a blowout on my truck while pulling a 32' trailer memorial day weekend, had the plug kit and an air tank, but it didnt help. dropped the spare, it had a damn plug in the sidewall and the tread, and i had another 4 hours to go to get home.
