outside chance I'll be able to come by, but I won't be able to ride. I'm working in savannah this week and if I am next week, I'm already most of the way there!

And yes, I would like to be made aware of said plans in the future... It's been 2 years since I have been on track and it's time to end that drought...

won't be making it gents... I got pulled from savannah on wednesday so my plans were shot.

Enjoy the track, watch out for turn 8, it bites a lot of people... The adage of going slow in the slow corners applies here...

OK, here's some news. We had a good day! Weather was just PERFECT! You can't ask for any better than that. Slight breeze, no humidity and 75 degree .

I was reallllllllly scared this morning before the first session. I never thought that my crash would affect me that much. I was shaking like crazy sitting on my bike before the session. Took me a few laps to relax and get use to everything, I mean everything. New bike, new gear, new tires you name it. By the end of the session I had a smile on my face. I was 10 seconds slower than last year but smiling .

Second session was better. Still have to get use to the bike and still have some fear but going faster. My best time today is still 4 seconds off my last year time here on the 1000. Don't think I will improve tomorrow but still planning on smiling though. My back is holding up. There's some pain but I'm rinding and that's all I ask for right now.

Yeah, ditto on that turn 8 warning. I haven't been there for a couple of years but back when it bit me in the ass, there was a lot of crappy pavement in that turn right in the line. Have fun guys. Wish I had something to ride, I'd be there in about 3 hours.

Looking good, fellas!

Glad to hear it went okay for you, Jetbdude. Don't worry, the speed will come - just be cool and have fun. Oh yeah, you need to change your avatar.

JBD, as Whipper said the speed will come. it took me a while to get back in the grove of riding after my crash. Just a suggestion for the back pain, Bayer Back and Body. It will help with the back pain but does not make you sleepy or high in the head. Been taking it for some time now.

Don't feel bad on the pace I was 4 seconds off due to first ride of the year, new rims and gearing. And that was a track I ride all the timee with no pain (just some gurgling when I breath)

BEAUTIFUL DAY again today. Weather was the same. Shaved 2 seconds off my lap time, and this was during the "race" after lunch.

Here's some pictures.

Option A: the guy on the RR was slow. Option B: the guy on the motard was super fast. I'll go with B Click image for larger version
