Stinger Folding Motorcycle Trailers

I'm looking for a trailer to tow my bike to the occasional track day, but I have very little space to store a conventional trailer like many of you own.

I ran across a few ads for collapsable or folding trailers. I found one that looked promising -- Stinger folding trailer Stinger Folding Motorcycle Trailer-American Trailer Systems-Home Page

Does anybody have any experience with this type of trailer? Will my bike be reasonably safe on this type trailer?

Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Stinger Folding Motorcycle Trailers

I saw a Kendon at Barber last year. Looked real nice and the guy I talked to spoke nothing but happiness and sunshine about it. A little more expensive then the Stinger.

Here's the company website: Single Trailer

Kendon is made out here by me, so I see them pretty frequentaly. Indeed, they are a nice, well built trailer.

Very nice. It looks a bit sturdier than the Stinger. Thanks for the tip.

$2k. Dude, get a $500 Home Depot special and stand it up on its tail when you're not using it.

I would have jumped on that if I had seen it and it was near me.

Edit: Dang, it was in St. Louis. I would have made the trip for it.

Sure - Just what I need to spruce up the place. My neighbors already look down their noses at my ancient tractor and Formula Vee chassis collection.

Well, ok, spare storage space, not really a garage, but you get the idea Still more extra space than a trailer which would take up space inside your garage...

Re: Stinger Folding Motorcycle Trailers

Great idea -- I'm sure shenders's wife wouldn't mind. I could paint it Ducati Red so it blends in to the scenery...

I have deed restrictions (and some ornery neighbors) who would have to look at a trailer leaned up against the back of the garage. Apparently, they're not fond of my early morning rides anyway. Hey, that's why I wear earplugs.

I'll probably troll Craigslist this winter for some deals. I appreciate some of the different options.

Move - or better yet, get a louder exhaust so they move.

Well, I picked up a used Kendon 2-Up trailer. It's in pretty decent shape. The previous owner had fixed it up nicely. It fits perfectly in the garage behind the two bikes and the kids junk. I'll be pulling it to Grattan.

Thanks for the advice -- the Kendon is much sturdier than the other trailers I looked at, plus I got a good deal off of Craigslist.
