Hey, nice truck! Congrats!
We ought to have a "new trucks" group pic at Grattan this year!

Oh. I'm out.
I'm not winning any races, unless it requires seating seven comfortably...

Me to,I do not think the quad cab has proper handling characteristics for a racing environment.

Re: New toy!

well mine is low to ground so it should handle a little better but I also have no power. I could probably win the gas mileage race though. got 21mpg the last tank, actually mixed in maybe a 125 miles on the highway this time, made a 4mpg difference.

I didn't say I have no power...300hp isn't THAT poor. However, 6000 pounds of vehicle and a long wheelbase don't help.

In terms of mileage, the news has gotten a bit better - since getting the truck broken in, I have seen 19.5 mpg on the highway (unless towing, when that number gets cut by about half).

no, I was saying I have handling but no power. 159hp IS that poor. if they can make a 1.0L bike get 160hp how come my 2.7L only gets the same hp?

Ah. When you said "it should handle a little better but I also have no power", I thought you WERE saying I have no power.

Bear in mind that your bike doesn't weigh 4000 pounds, and it doesn't need to haul anything but ass.

Re: New toy!

yes E it does have a bit more torque. and certainly isn't as high strung as a motorcycle engine.

yeah my bad. my Taco can't compare powerwise to any V8
and haul ass it does, especially since my ass doesn't weigh anything.

I don't know how I missed this whole thread.

Nice truck, E!

Though I think it would look WAY better in blue...

I'd be up for that... Maybe even a little race?

I'm kinda cheating though, seeing as I am likely one of the only ones with 4 wheel independant suspension.

At the first Grattan event, Bubba was "drying the track" in his Lightning... I think there are some pics somewhere...
