My family had one very similar but it was a 27 footer. We quickly figured out that we could stay in some pretty nice motels for what we were spending on gas. Sold it after less than two years and went back to tents for our trips to the mountains. It all comes down to the level of convenience that you want. If parking trackside, or wherever, is really important to you then it might really be worth it. Just one thing to consider.

Not sure about that particular motorhome, but I can tell you that as a tow vehicle and place to hang out at the track, motorhomes rock.

A toy hauler might be a good option as well. Inclosed trailer with living quarters in the front. They can be quite nice. Personally thats what I'd like to have, but my truck won't pull one.

What size motor does it have? Underpowered RV's pulling trailers can struggle on the hills, not to mention what it will do to your mileage. The price looks right if it's in as good of shape as it appears.

Not sure on the engine I just spotted it. I might go to Baa-rber tomorrow and stop on the way. It needs to be at least a 400 (prefer 455) I think since my trailer is not light

Yea, I would look at the toy hauler option more. Or you could retrofit your trailer to one if you wanted.

Not unless you got a single rich sister that is very tolerant and is looking for a huge project

The problem with a toy hauler is that in AL they take the same plates as a motorhome ($$) and my truck won't haul one well. It works a bit to hard towing mine to be honest. So I would have to swap trailer and truck and I am to poor

Didn't JBD just get a TH this past year? His did not look too big and was nice looking from the pics.

Yeah, but his is a trailer and I think Sheep's trying to dump his truck and pick up something to replace it.

Sheep, check it out and see. You're not going to find anything in that price range around here that's going to be "perfect".

Yep trying to go today maybe. And yes that is the plan. I could tow the trailer to Baa-rber and have a place to stay plus better for me food and A/C to cool some on the ultra hot days.

Plus a place for mom and dad o'sheep to get in and set to rest if they want to come and watch. Mom cannot take a day in the heat on her feet anymore and dad is heading to that.

The plan is a replacement tow vehicle but I am guessing it would get borrowed some by Mom and Dad to stay in and I would use it some that way also.

Of course I am waffling on this topic like I do all topics of this type

EDIT: part of my waffling is the worry I am going to low rent on price. I prefer not owing a so low price is nice but I don't want a ton of headaches since life is good right now

that thing has more power than my 40ton rated tractor trailer.

I like the way you think but for something that big it would be better to just have the garage built in like a toy hauler.

I've never priced motorhomes, but that seems like a pretty darn good deal to me. It must have a million miles on it.

No kidding sheep. If he's close enough to check it out in person, you won't find a better deal then that.
