Congrats.
Repacking the bearings is pretty easy.
Pull the dustcaps off the endsof the axle and unscrew the nut. the wheel/hub slides off.
one bearing on each side, with the races one of the axle, and one in the hub.
can of carb cleaner to clean off the grease to inspect the parts. Any grooves in the races and replace them, they are cheap.
put a few fingers of grease in your palm and the bearing in the other hand and squeeze the grease back into the bearing. Apply some to the axle and the races and put it all back together.
The nut should go finger tight and then I usually go one full turn. If the wheel is still mounted to the hub give it a spin and the friction should stop the tire in a few rotations.
Toss in a brand new cotter pin and replace the dust cap.

Doesn't look like it'd need more than a decent sized drill bit. Shouldn't take too long to mount the Baxley.

If you're going to have it apart like that, tap in some Bearing Buddies while you're at it. Makes keeping them lubed between checks easier.

+1 on the bearing buddies, and use a good high temp grease.

I almost posted that yesterday, but it looks like he's already got them.
ND, is there a rubber cap with a Zerk fitting behind it in the hub?

I haven't looked at it that close.

What is a good quality hi-temp grease?
-
I'll probably end up using the same axle grease I've been using on my bikes. If it's good enough for the bike I'm sure it's good enough for the trailer.

I see a standard stamped steel cover.

There is probably a recessed nipple in the middle of it, mine has the same thing. It's the made in china version of the (also made in china) Bearing Buddies.

That's exactly what mine look like, under the Moon Discs.

I would not even use that shit on your bike.
I used to use this on my Jeep and a boat trailer, works well and had no bearing issues at all.

ND4SPD,
What site did you order your Hidden Hitch from? And any links to the harness?
I think I'm ready to buy.

etrailer.com I just went with the harness they listed for the car.

Okay, I really am clicking buy on a hitch tonight. I'm cutting it close on having it here in time for my trip to Idaho. I'll be pissed and screwed if it doesn't make in the next 13 days.
For the wiring harness it lists about 6 different options? This is the page I get for my car.
Any suggestions?

Looks like the main difference is the amount of amps the trailer harness can handle. I'd get one in the middle.
-
?
Done.
Hopefully it comes soon.

Hitch arrived today. I'll be attempting an install Friday night.
