Need recommendations for a set of tire chains for my 2002 Sierra and Yukon.
Planning on emergency-use only. I've fit both trucks with some really good snow-rated tires, but we ran into a freak situation last year where I would have definitely put them on if I owned them.
I've been looking at JCWhitney. Any other ideas?

For use in Vermont. Would have used them last year no matter if they were allowed or not.
We were 3 miles from the cabin, but had to climb up one side of the mountain and go 1/4 way down the back-side. It was night, had snowed most of the day, the roads were wet and we had a sudden freeze. The Yukon did fine, but I wound up leaving our trailer at the base of the mountain and came back for it the next day. The new tires were the best I've ever had in snow/ice, but I want an extra margin of safety if it happens again. Staying home is not an option!

Holy frick. I didn't realize Vermont got enough snow to use chains. Take the snowmobiles in the background.
I think that pic was in the middle of a 17" snowfall. VT gets some pretty good snow, but it seems to be coming later and later each year. Feb/March have been the best months for the past 2yrs.
The snowmobiles were on the trailer when I needed the chains. We had towed them out to the Green Mtn Nat'l forest for the day and couldn't get them home.

I have always bought them at a local tire store, but seamus' link looks pretty good.
JC Whitney scares me as they sell lots of junk, but their chains might be all right.
Cheap chains can be real hard on paint-jobs if you end up using them...
