Sweet. Put some race plastic on that thing, some sticky rubber, tape over the lights.... that is what you have in mind, right?

Seriously, sure would be great to drive your own hotel room to the track, eh? Gase mileage would be atrocious, though.

and you might do a little better since you aren't pulling a car.

I don't believe it. BTW, towing usually nets you slightly better fuel economy due to the breakup of the air drag behind the flat rear deck.

I have the same motor/trans and the best I have ever seen is an average of 7 for all around driving (no serious mountains).

Mine is a lot nicer and 8" wider overall and has about 1/2 the mileage on it.

I think the Allegro uses a bunch of AL though....

I thought you had a new engine?

What kind is yours (and length) and does the AC CRANK! a must for here.

New Engine? It was new when we bought it in 97.

Our is a Damon Intruder LTD 35' Class A.

The air will curl your toes. It has a single double size AC unit with full vent system (not just a ceiling unit blowing air out of it's internal vents).

Ours is fiberglass, I doubt the Allegro is any lighter even though it is shorter. Also, the diff doesn't whine . . .

Interesting... I really don't need the extra size but it would not be bad. Not 100% sure on the whole details of Alegro other than they are well spoke of locally. For some reason I thought you said you had put an engine in it... must be the SDD kicking in

New trans at 400 miles. Engine was fine . . .

The size makes a huge difference in the bathroom/kitchen areas.

Allegro is a brand name of Champion's (I think, but it could be another "mother company"). They (Champion) make about 30 different branded motor homes. Damon is the only manufacturer of Damon products.

Tiffin Motorhomes

Though it doesn't really matter. Either is good.

As to size you have a herd this would be me and occasional guest(s) for track use. I am not real social so the friend list would be short

Still real scared of the next president making me unemployed though.... I might go look at this, but not this weekend since I am loading for Baa-rber! Still was planning on seeing if I could swing by the home of the melon festival if things are still looking up in July. Sadly Baraack has already stated an intent to kill missile defense and future combat systems so Huntsville would take it in the stones

If past history is an indicator I will stay employed "somewhere" but the peturbations would be there and I like very conservative finances. Of course if McCain or the Heldebeast gets it I am good until 2013
