I got a new bike!
After I sold my 954rr I was pretty convinced that I was going to get a late 90's 900rr and save a bit of cash in the process. Well, long story short I ended up finding this guy for such a good deal that I couldn't pass it up.
![]() Overall it's in very good shape, and it's pretty much stock--but it feels great. That yosh pipe is way louder than my old Akropovic! It's mellow at idle, but anything above that and it sounds pretty mean Oh, and before anyone says it, I do have the mirrors for the bike. These pics are from the seller since I haven't taken any of my own yet. And most notably...the seat is awesome! Sooooo comfy.

Nice colors!
Hows the insurance on that thing? How about a power comparison? |

COOL!
What year? My 750 is an 01, I love it! Mirrors on a gixxer? Did you get the previous owner to include the flip-flops and tank top? If not I can help you pick out suitable attire

Re: I got a new bike!
Congrats!
Give us a ride comparison - Also, I'd like to know if the local police are more tempted to read that big SUZUKI billboard to say 'Please pull me over...'

Re: I got a new bike!
Thanks for the compliments all! Unfortunately (I'm sure due to our squidly moto-brothers out there) insurance is actually higher for this than the 954! It's only about $8 more per month, but still...
I took the bike on a short test ride and then the whole way home was droning on the freeway, so I can't give an in-depth comparison as of yet. I will say that my initial impression is that the FI seems smoother, and from above 6k rpm I don't think I can tell a huge difference in power as of yet. It revs up sooo quickly, and it's crazy thinking that when I hit 12k I still have 2000rpm left! ![]() The previous owner actually was selling the bike with a leather jacket, riding pants, etc. He was a nice guy who took good care of the bike and did mostly hwy miles on it. The original owner was probably more of a flip flops on the bike kinda guy...there is a neon light hidden underneath
