Suzuki bodywork faster removal?

Ok, I'm feeling just a bit stupid here, but the plastic body fasteners on the gixxer are different than the ones on the Honda. How do you release them? On the Honda, there's a slot for a phillips and you unscrew a bit, and the center pops out, allowing the fastener to be removed. The gixxer's have just a push-button looking thing in the center and I can't see how it pops out to allow the fastener to come out.

Push it in, that should release it. If they're the ones I'm thinking of, they have two "steps" of engagement, first is locked in place, push it in further and it releases the tension. After you remove them you need to pull the center pin back out to "reset" them.

Re: Suzuki bodywork faster removal?

Sweet! Thanks, that did it! One was a bit stuck. I was afraid to pry at it. All good now!

Do a 12:00 wheelie next to a high school and the bodywork is supposed to fly right off.

don't feel dumb, it took 3 of us and a trip to the dealer (we had to buy something anyway) to figure them out.
