My New Track Toy

Here's some more pictures of my new toy, a black K7 GSX-R 600. I've been wanting one for over a year, so I just decided to do it. You're only young...er, young-ish once. I've got 5-6 more trackdays this year, and I want to enjoy them on this. I registered and titled it because I knew I wouldn't be able to stand looking at it in the garage until I take it to Summit Point on August 27th. I took it out today, and what a blast!!!
The 929 will go back on the street, and the Ducati is just about sold.

ROTFLMGDFAO!!!!!

It does make me want to learn how to wheelie, though. I've never had that happen before!

Sweet ride HGT

If I was buying a track only bike it would be that or a 600RR. VERY nice, and I am VERY jealous.

Because I rode them at the Schwantz School and was impressed by them. They just fit me. Not to say I wouldn't like the '07 600RR, I probably would. The gix has a couple of things on it that come stock that I like...the slipper clutch and the gear indicator. If I hadn't ridden one at the school, I'd have gotten the 600RR.

Re: My New Track Toy

HG2, you ought to write to Suzuki on behalf of KSSS telling them that your choice was dictated by your experience there.

Also that a Honda would have clashed with your new Yosh team jacket..

Re: My New Track Toy

I searched for a used 600 GSXR for a couple of months after taking the Schwantz school in 02. They are just that good.

Congratulations

Already done, with a copy mailed to KSSS.

Re: My New Track Toy

Great choice - I had a K4 GSXR 750 for awhile, and really liked it. The K6/K7 varieties are, by all accounts, that much better.

I hadn't seen the all black color scheme previously, it's a real looker.

Most of them are off, just the one on the chain guard remains. I've got to ditch all those reflectors, too! Little by little, it'll get stuff to make it more track-worthy, although it's pretty damn good just the way it is.

Re: My New Track Toy

Nice those were fun at KSSS. I really miss the gear indicator but have to admit the RC is still more fun when I went back to Road Atlanta Of course now you can set it up and ride your bike at Schwantz (oh and tell Marnie I am still waiting on an answer for Ohlins discount ).

Be sure to get the strap on sandals for safety.

So will she be track-only or pull double-duty?

Mostly track-only. I have her registered and insured right now so I could do some break-in miles and play a bit. Once I get all the stuff off, she'll likely stay track-only.
