Help with my Corbin on 92 gixxer 750

Okay, I'm almost done with my 92 gixxer, and I want to take it out this weekend for her maiden voyage, but I'm having one issue. I had a 92 about 4 years ago and my Corbin seat fit perfectly on it. I put it on this one, and there's a 1/2 inch gap or a bit more under the passenger pad. It's a one piece saddle, I'm wondering how I can get it to sit properly. It's really bugging the hell out of me, everything else is 95% complete.

Sounds like the tail fairing mounting points could be slightly bent down? Send pics!

Re: Help with my Corbin on 92 gixxer 750

Wife just called, my neighbor came over with a torch this afternoon and heated it a hair and bent it and now it fits perfect. He has a 91 1100 that he had the same problem with. I guess I should've thought about that, but I usually don't think.

Going to get some pics of it tonight now that it's complete, minus fresh fluids and I'm still waiting on a few finishing pieces. It's almost identical to the one I owned a few years ago, it was one of my favorite bikes as far as comfort goes.
