And so it begins(mods)....

Doing some mods to my bike and I thought I would share . I'll be updating this post with pics of my progress. Lots of parts going in. I still have to remove the rear shock.

Stage one: the disassembly...

I have pics of my bike like that in the garage! This is gonna be sooooo gooood seeing what you are doing and NOT feeling the garage floor the next day!

Ohlins R&T forks
Ohlins rear shock
Ohlins steering dampner
AFAM 520 sprockets, +0 front, +2 rear
DID ERV3 520 chain
Gilles Chain tensioner with GP lifts
EBC contour rotors
EBC HH pads
Motul RBF 600 brake fluid
Speed bleeders
Galfer SS brake lines front and rear
WoodCraft clip ons
CRG Shorty levers
Arata Carbon shorty slip on

I may have missed a part or two.


The plan was to post up pics of the parts as I install them.

You're holding out, aren't you?

None of those mods requires the bike to be stripped to the frame like that.

my original first post said something like "I'm gonna punch yu if you're putting on Ohlins suspension" I shoulda left it at that.

Actually the only parts I removed that I didn't have to were the front cowling, but it's easier to get to everything without it on. Plus it only takes 5 minutes to remove. The other part was the tail(10 minute removal), taking the opertunity to clean it well. The gas tank came out to get easy access to the SET servo that I'm removing because the slip on exhaust eliminates it. The side fairings where removed for the exhaust and oil change. The right side rear set needs to come out to pull the SET servo through.
