Got my JR GPX type R leather suit.

Called Calsportbikes, talked to Todd. I was a bit confused about the sizes and he helped me figure out what I needed.
Suit arrived today. Fits perfectly even with the Icon Field Armor under it.
Great price, great service, and fast delivery.
    Thanks Todd.

    Pictures please...

    Any problem areas with it?

    Overall fit and finish?

Much for perforation on it? armour? one or two peice?

Nice suit either way, it's just be nice to hear a first hand review instead of

    Cool!
Can't wait to hear your report! I am interested in that one too.

I have one (posted lots of pics on FBo) VS the old suit it lost a bit of perforation and should scoups. However it is MUCH better made on seams and number of panels.

Unfortunately I crash tested both. The R did a lot better (though both saved my fleece) however the R was down at a lower speed also.

Re: Got my JR GPX type R leather suit.

I just tried it on with the armor.
I haven't been riding with it yet with the temps in the 20s. Hopefully it'll get better soon and I'll add to SoB's report. So far fitting is as usual for me with leathers, tight on some spots and loose in some others but that's just because my body is not proportional. Quality seems very good, I'd say even better than my last Dianese I had although that was a long time ago.

Re: Got my JR GPX type R leather suit.

I've got the JR GPX type R 2pc suit. I have not crashed in it, but did some reading of some fellas my size (US 56) and it held up. Of course, no two crashes are the same, but it's nice to know that these newer GPX R suits aren't blowing open... from the reviews I've read at least.

As for off the shelf it was pretty much my only option, because of my 56 (6'3" 275 lbs) suit size. I was going to get an Alpinestars suit, but they only go to Euro 64 in size (i.e. US 54) and I thought that would be cutting it close.

Pic of me on the bike with my daughter in the suit and a pic of me standing in it (sorry I'm turned sideways, but its the only pic I have of me standing in the suit, atm).

PS Here is a link of a crash review that I came across while researching before buying it.
