1 piece suit recomendations?
Ok, I have read the other threads on the available one peice suits out there.
I am looking to get some thing good in the $600-900 US range I am really liking the Motogp stuff but I have not heard much about them in anything other than adds.
I had a 1 piece Tecknic(last years) on the other day in a 46 and it fit great, but it was $900 canadian and I know that I can do better ordering from the states(some bike show special that was ) I also had an alpine stars suit on in a 44 (last years model) and it was NOT big enough. I will be wearing a back protector and need to have strecthy pannels to be able to move around. Vents/perforations are also a must.
I am about 5 foot 10 or 11 and weigh in about 190lbs currently. I currently wear a 44 spyke 2 piece that is too small... But it looks good.
anyone have a favourite?

And Kurtis Roberts.
Oh yeah, and me too. Maybe that's why I always have so much room in the corners.

I heard that was because you are too superstitious to clean them.

You might contact Barnacle Bill's to see what a custom would run you. Vanson's make excellent custom suits, too, but they're more expensive.

try getting to a motorcycle show or the first AMA round close enough to you-there area few deals to be had, cheap prices on suits and helmets-

I was at the bike show up here, REALLY it was no thing special.
as for AMA having a good selection... Not that I've seen and I've been to a few of them, but a good suggestion none the less.
I am thinking that I may just order and hope that it fits and if it doesn't return it and get something custom(if I don't go that route in the first place)

they're only hard on me cause they're jealous of my perfect racer's physique.
just so you know you have to order from the dollar menu and you have a $5 limit. and there's no "dessert" afterwards.

If you're gonna go custom, decide now or it won't be ready in time.

Re: 1 piece suit recomendations?
I know this is risky but I gotta ask, what do you all wear under your leathers at the track?
I have heard some say they use separate armour. Or at least back protectors.
I have also read that you can use wind proof fleece under perforated suits on cold days.
What about hot weather? Do you wear anything under the suit (I am assuming that underwear is worn, this going to go hopelessly wrong, I just know it) to help keep it from absorbing too much sweat?
How do you clean the inside of your leathers?

I use a separate back protector. Shoulder, knee, shin, hip, elbow is velcroed into the suit.
On hot days, I wear Underarmour heat gear or some such underneath. Long sleeves on both pants and shirt, so it's possible to get out of the leathers! The Underarmour or equivalent wicks moisture away. I used to wear shorts and a short-sleeved wicking type undergarment, but the leathers would become hopelessly stuck to my knees and elbows.
Many suits have removable liners that you can wash. I do that, and I wash and condition the outside of the leathers at the end of the season. I've never washed the inside of the leathers, just the mesh liner.
On cool days, I use a windshirt. Fleece would be a tight fit under my trackleathers, but I accounted for that with the street leathers. I don't do trackdays when it's really cold, so the windshirt suffices.

I currently wear a set of hot chilli long john bottoms(a little thicker than nylons to assist with the on and off) and normaly Just a t-shirt.
But some of the suits I have been looking at come with an insert or I may be upgrading to a set of "underarmor" knock offs. I just hate being all sweaty and trying to get in and out of the leathers by myself. These really do help.

Beautiful it aint...
I figure what ever helps me squeeze into them gets my vote...
I'll try not to model them too much outside of my leathers, not a pretty site...

What hump?
Re: 1 piece suit recomendations?
B.O.T. - alert.
I NEED a one-piece, ASAP. I can't wait for a custom, right now. The main reason is leg length, crotch stretch. I can't rely on toe sliders anymore for lean max. I have moved my pegs up and I MUST get my knee on the ground for safety reasons. Neither of my current leathers allow this to happen, properly. This was confimed by a track-monitor who followed me, yesterday.
I am a normal 6', 175 lb. biker dude.
Current suits are both AGV.
Thanks for any ideas.

Have a velcro patch sewn on the AGV leathers for mounting a knee puck

Re: 1 piece suit recomendations?
I've got a Spidi one piece, size 56/46 and I'm 6'-6'1" and about 185lbs. It's snug with a back protector but I can still move around on the bike pretty well. It's a well made suit, but doesn't have much ventilation. I've toyed with the idea of sending it to Barnacle Bill's to have some holes punched in it, but haven't got around to it. Check E-bay, sometimes you can pick up a good used suit that someone has 'outgrown'.

I got da pucks. They are in the wrong location because the thigh is too short. And I can't angle my leg enough because the crotch binds. I already had the calves altered looser so the leather wouldn't bind at the knee.
Too much work to fix these suits.
I just need something that's longer without being for heavy-set people.
