I caught 3 small salt water catfish, and a small Whiting. Not much. I was more interested in relaxing, reading, and Corona sampling.

I used the tail of the smallest cat for bait. It got no attention. Though the heron made off with the rest of it!

Sometimes I forget how beautiful the sun, sand, and water are. Have to take a sabbatical and re-appreciate it all!

What online retailers sell Olympia gear?

Does it just happen to look like some of the BMW stuff or do they maybe oem a piece or two

I see the Sidi recommendation above for boots, what is a good on-road boot that is not going to cool my feet but will keep the weather wickeds away? ...while not looking incredibly wacky.

It wouldn't be something that surprised me if he did.

Bingo! I just used my new EXO-700 and it rocks in the rain! The no-fog visor works bitchin' and no leaks either.

I have tested mine out in rain several times on this trip and I give it

At the price these things are, it's hard not to get another for a back up!

I landed a ride to Grattan (thanks TogaTim) but I'm still really wanting to ride my bike there just to have a little road trip. My one concern is that if it were to rain it would be the first time in the rain for myself and my bike. I just checked and my gore-tex stuff that I use for back packing fits over my leathers. Do you think that it would be better to go with an actual PVC suit though like the ones from Frog Toggs, First Gear, or Teknic?
...dude you ride an offroad bike with slicks, 1/2 the weight of a GS, double the suspension, with a browning 50 cal going off 32" from your skull as a daily freaking driver - I'd expect anything except a nitro dragbike to be bland by comparison - SSG

Ive done more than my fair share of rain riding and have had an Aerostitch Darien setup as well as the Frogg Toggs over the leathers set up. I have gotten away from wearing nylon altogether though because I found the drag of the air to be a pain. I had great success with the Toggs over my leather, just try them on over your gear and try to get some that are snug but not restricting to reduce the flappage. If you have JR Speedmaster stuff with the wings on the shoulder vents, you may want to reinforce the inside of the Toggs with duct tape where they touch as they have a tendency to rip. As for helmet fogging, I used Fog City insert. I have a clear visor that is dedicated only for cold/wet use with the Fog City in it. I found that there is a bit of a double reflection at night due to the layers, but it is alot better than fog.

I used to have a ball in the rain and would purposefully spin up the rear a bit and squid around some just to see the limitations.

I run in a 2 piece Hein Gericke suit when it rains and I've had limited problems in the rain. A few hard downpours got in the gaps but otherwise it's been good.

As far as the helmet goes, I have had the same AGV for about 3 years, I use Rain X on both sides of the shield. Reduces inside fog and the rain beads off clean on the outside.

I hate starting out in the rain but don't mind a ride if it happens after the start.

Love riding in it. When I first started riding sportbikes I'd purposely go out in it so I'd learn. Modern tires are so good that they cut the rain so well you'd think it's dry. As long as it isn't flood like conditions I ride about as fast in the rain as I do the dry in a straight line.

Gear: 'Stitch and the typical pvc shit to wear over leathers.
