The one I now use is a Scorpion EXO-700. The silver Geronimo.
I also have a collection of Arais that have hit the pavement and one that was retired in favor of the Scorpion.
Only pic I can find of it at the moment.

I was curious about these helmets based on your input, so yesterday at the motorcycle show I went looking for the Scorpion booth. I asked to see the top of the line helment, which is the Snell-approved EXO-700, as you've said.
The guy described and demonstrated the very flexible no-fog shield, the quick shield changing system, the vent system which seems to be identical to my Shoei X-11, and the very well made, removable/washable interior pieces. It's heavier than my Shoei, but that seems to be the main difference. I test fitted one, and it was very comfortable with good peripheral vision . The rep was also proud of the #2 JD Power company consumer satisfaction rating, ahead of Shoei and just behind Arai.
Nothing in Orange, though... I was about to walk when I asked conversationally what these cost.
The show special for the top of the line helmet, made in late 2005, with a bag and a free extra smoked visor was $149.00. A hundred and forty nine dollars. That's 1/3 of what I paid for a white Shoei on a show special 2 years ago. That's less than 1/4 of the list price of a good Shoei or Arai.
How could I not buy one? I'll have to paint it to be more visible, but it's a hell of a deal. It will make riding in the cold or the rain much easier, as the non-fogging shield will allow me to ride without opening the visor.
I'll have to design something that will work on the helmet and the race fairings, and use the same paint on both.
Those are the guys I bought it from.. Maybe I'll take some of the savings to Mid O, since they seem to be the gatekeepers there. They also had good deals on the new Held Phantom gloves, so I really shot the shit out of my allowance!
It's really important to be able to put this stuff on and check it for fit and feel. Without the recommendations of the people here, I would never have tried it on.
Brian is a good guy who cares about his customers. My Vemar visor has slight cracks in it, more like spider web marks in it and he sent a new one out without question. Good guy.
Wow, I like the Arai, f1!
Anyone wear a shark helmet?
They're a fairly popular brand around here and I tried one on and rode with it for like 10 minutes at a dealer demo day and i really really liked it. A bunch of my buddies who have Shark helmets love them and refuse to go with anything else.

That is the one I have. Interesting comment about the weight. Mine weighed less than the Shoei, Arai and AGV I was comparing it to.
Now in stereo Visionaries say "Yes, we can."
Engineers say "Not so fast."
and Seamus is awesome
I have an HJC CL12, an Arai Astral in blue and an Arai Quantum F - the one with the dragon on it. I forget who's replica it is. Had a Suomy Spec1R Roberts replica last year but I sold it when I sold my bike since it was only a few weeks old at the time. Not sure what I'll get for my next one - haven't shopped around yet.

My digital scale only goes to 3 lbs, but this comparison bears out my estimate and the claim of the Scorpion rep himself. At the XL size the diifference between the X-11 (#36)and the EXO-700(#50) is a little more than 3 ounces. The difference in price is about 100 dollars for each of those ounces, so I'm not bitching.
I'm just bored with the plain white..
Just think of the traffic reaction That, and the Alpinestars body armor!
That would be a Kodak moment!
when i ran the carts, i wanted a simpson so bad but could not get my sponsors(parents) to hook me up. the clay and calcium in the clay would f up a helmit pretty good
I am not post whoring, I am providing an abundance of useless opinion.
Does anyone have one of those HJC carbon fiber helmets, or know anything about how they feel, fit and perform?

Yeah, thanks for the link to that helmet testing info. I'm aware that all of the testing is controversial, and you know the saying: "10$ helmet for a $10 head!" That (and the fact that I really like Icon Domain Perimeter) is why I'm saving up for a new helmet. Plus, the THH is like almost five years old, and since I didn't use a Danbana,...eh, it's starting to...shall we say, develop a fragrance all it's own!

Another nice feature of the top of the line helmets is liners that are removable for washing.
