I'm a big fan of mesh, odd. Not all mesh, but mesh panels in less than impact related places I am ok with.

update: It's pretty damn waterproof

I had to bring the GS in for service yesterday ~1 hour away and it was raining on and off but I knew this meant the skies were only waiting for me to get on the road . So I donned the suit and off I went, about 4 miles from home it started with a misty funk and moved to full on drops. I went to the dealership and back in this awesome stuff and the suit performed flawlessly . I had only a small 2-3" patch of moisture on my shoulders...I presume there are some vents there that I just forgot to close (according to my earlier notes in the thread there were anyways ).

I didn't even rock the raincollar though because it looked sort of annoying. Though with the vents on the EXO-700 closed and everything on the coat buttoned up appropariately nary a drop of water even made it down my back, I was really impressed.

I was more impressed that the dealer is an hour away and thanks to some work confusion I had 45 minutes to close time when I left here yesterday and had their 2009 Triumph Tiger 1050 to boot. That thing didn't look so awesome for the rain...and it wasn't nearly as placid to ride on as the GS. Nevermind the fact that the only time during this journey I saw 55 was for red lights, but again even at the northern velocities the suit did well.

I had my iphone, cell phone, ipod, wallet, bike paperwork, etc. stuffed inside the external pockets of this thing as well and they didn't see so much as a drop of water.

Consider this a side nod for the Scorpion EXO-700 and Sidi Discovery Boots as well .
Both of these are downright awesome for rain riding. As my dear friend Seamus once told me, you cannot fog the EXO up. I've purposely shut down the ventilation in this thing and ridden in crappy conditions while singing along to my Debbie Gibson mp3's just to try and fog it up - and zero fogging! I switched back to Offspring or the normal stuff and still no fogging even if I am talking to the GPS telling it where to go.

The Discovery boots...if you have other ST boots you've made a mistake, these boots are not ventilated but are gore-tex lined and do an awesome job getting bad moisture out while still keeping your feets relatively cool.

BTW this was done without the supplementary liner included with the FS suit.

The only downside is I noticed with this suit, temps about 65 or journeys on low-speed backroads much above that temp - this suit probably won't get worn much as it will cook you fast. The interior is also regular nylon or whatever, so you gotta wear long pants and shirt under it or else it just sticks to you. Some of the 'warmer weather' gear stuff I have from F'sheer is lined with a netting inside that makes it friendly on the arms/legs and doesen't require that layer.

For 200$ I am way pleased with this suit

$375 from newenough... Seems like a good deal but wish I could try one on. I've been pretty happy with joe rocket stuff I've had in the past.

For about the same money I can get the Alter Ego 2.0 pants and jacket. Really like the alter ego stuff. I had the original alter ego jacket. Crashed in it too.

Tough choice. The 1-pc stuff is ugly but makes a lot of sense in a lot of different riding scenarios.

I will not commute on the bike... I get free car and gas for that. I'll do 3-4 hour sunday rides and occasional 2-3 day trips.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my Shark helmet, its the most comfy padded, nicest feeling and most water resistant helmet i think ive ever worn.. and the visor is the only one i feel safe riding without glasses behind... at 3mm thick its 2x thicker than most other visors

I love my Alter Ego stuff when it fit me . The one piece suit I have is still much more enjoyable when actually riding in it. If I had the choice and wasn't commuting in it...it would be a no brainer

I threw out a low-ball offer and the guy responded asking for my size. Didn't really expect a response.

Direct-Moto out of Ohio.

I hadn't seen that suit before but I definitely like the price better than what I've been looking at. I want more of a high vis color though. Make sure you give a full review.

You're looking for this

I'm about to sell my Tourmaster jacket and pick this up. Not happy with it like I was with the Cortech GX Air.

I got mine at a brick & mortar store in Texas. I highly recommend trying one on before buying as the fit may be a little odd.

Find a store, try one on to determine size and then burn u pthe interwebz. Unless you really want to support the retailer and pay the price for great service, which I did (Moto Liberty in Dallas - loved 'em when I lived in Tay-has).

I'll be heading down to a BMW dealer near Birmingham to try one on first too. I liked their service so much when I was looking for the Olympia overpants I currently have, I'm going to buy through them again.

375, same as newenough but they didn't have it in stock. Of course paypal only gave me 92 cents for my canadian dollars and I got boned $39.95 for shipping... but I'd have to pay over 600 to buy that suit locally.
