The scorpion isn't really quieter or noisier than anything else I've worn. Though I did realize the windscreen of a GS affects that very dramatically already
sorry I forgot to tell you. I don't have the aero skirt. I must have been mistaken, I have one for the Shark I recently bought not for the Scorpion.

No problems looking over my shoulder at the tv when I hear a nice Michael Jackson song When i start bobbin my head, it moves with my head! Fits like an isotoner glove and its not even strapped up!

mine of course, I'll write it on your forehead before you go to Grattan...then everyone will think (know) you're awesome.

Weird...it plants itself dead center on my forehead as well and wears me out after about 1 hour of riding. However, I've had this issue with several helmets lately for some reason. I figured I was growing a horn or something.
Truth.

As anyone who saw me at Grattan can attest to, I wasn't doing a Gorbachev impersonation but that "shorter lengthwise" deal, did a number to the front center of my skull en route there.
It's no longer comfortable once it's been on for more than 45 minutes or so, and it's definitely not the liner bunching up on me. Ironically this is the same damn issue I am having with the bell Star after about 20 minutes. My head is large but has never been oddly shapen.

I took another set of measurements and despite that my skull circumference is that of the XL, I tried ordering an XXL from NE to see how that fits me.

This brings my total amount of helmets I own which do not fit me comfortably to:
3
as of this writing.

Currently the only thing I can take out that is comfy on me is my old Arai, but it's padding is too lose to be worn safely, so in the closet it will stay. All my "long oval" jokes are coming back to haunt me now....

I may have an XL EXO-700 for sale shortly, or an XL and an XXL

Mine seemed to break in..... or I got used to the way it fit during grattan. After the second day, it felt fine. Of course touring you get time to think of stuff, on the track you have a different aggenda.

Thats exactly what I was thinking of...the track is short bouts here and there, for that purpose - I'd be golden with this thing

SSG got me a Scorpion EXO-700 as an early birthday present before Grattan. I debated on whether or not to use it on our long journey since I literally sat in the house with it on for 20 minutes before we left. Glad I decided to just chance it. I love this helmet. It fits me better than my Shoei...which now makes me wonder if the Shoei was just a bit too big. It was very comfortable and I feel like it fits me perfectly...once the cheeks pads broke in

I popped the rear spoiler, vent garbage off of my 700 and it is much quieter now. Uglier, but quieter.

You're not going to make a very good Ducatista with modifications like that...

I think he was just practicing...this is probably what he meant to say:

This will be much quieter and removes 1.3 oz from the helmet. This is going to make a HUGE difference at the next trackday...

So I have an XL EXO-700 for sale now...dang nabbit! Of course this is how it goes...the XXL I bought at new enough for 109$, the XL I wanted to "help out the local guys" and bought from them for like 275$ with a spare visor (it's also a scheme that isn't offered at NE).

Does anyone even buy used helmets?

Sheez...I was hoping 150$ with a smoked shield would be a fair deal on a used XL (red/silver predator EXO-700) with new cheekpads. Guess snot.

I will go eat some bananas though to make myself feel better.
