I just got mine yesterday. It fits me even better than my Shoei and-to me, at least-seems to vent just fine. BUT...so much air gets in at the chin, that I can't use it. However, I ordered the skirt that covers that area, so..........we'll see. Anyone else notice this?

used mine for 2 full track days so far...didn't notice any air from the chin area... I run a Small though so maybe different size shells pads create a different affect.

The skirt clashes with the knee pucks big-time.

Correction...yes I do get alot of wind from under the chin bar... I realized thats why I can never tell if my vents are open or closed...still a good helmet..I may try the chin curtain and see if I like that effect better

I got the chin curtain and it helped by maybe 50%. It's okay now during warm weather, but I'm moving to Washington and winter will come........

i have both an arai signet and a (just purchased for Grattan) Shark RSX .... the RSX seems to fit me better and the lining is MUCH softer ... the chin bar has quite a bit more room too

Re: Scorpion EXO-700

I have both the 700 and 400. the 400 seems to let less air up the chin but this may be due to the lack of chin room. i prefer the 700 with the chin curtain. This has been the only helmet that fits my misshapen head. i have tried every other helmet on with no luck. i used to ride with a shoie something or othe rthat cost 450 but was really unhappy with.

can't wait till the 1000 comes out to see if the gimics are of use or not.

anyone have that auto tinting shield? from what i read it only tints to a light tint. i wonder if this is enoff? I really like the dark smoke. if they made a auto tinting one that got that dark i would definetly buy one.

oh got the knee down for the first time the other day. scared the hell out of me. now i can't seem to keep it off the ground. I wasn't speeding in the canyons i just never applied the breaks and found some amazing corner speed.

Re: Scorpion EXO-700

I bought the 400 about a week ago. I like it. I also bought the skirt and at first it eliminated pretty much all of the air up through the chin bar. Now it lets a little more through, but I can still ride w/o glass to block the air. The wind bothers my eyes and dries them out in my old helmet. I got my 400 for $130 with a shield with a discount for buying a new bike at my dealership.

The lady was just mentioning she wants a helmet last weekend. Might have to snag one of these for her.

How is the fit compared to a Shoei?

I wear an XL shoei and it fits me very well.

The EXO feels a teeny bit shorter lengthwise but not uncomfortable, I can just tell, widthwise it's the same. I did order some thinner cheekpads for mine as the ones that were in it were just way too damn stiff. So I bought some XXL cheekpads (3mm thinner IIRC) off of new enough.

I can tell you one thing (that Seamus also told me ) you CANNOT fog up these shields, just try...nothing you do will fog them up, and water generally doesen't seem to last long on them, not sure whattup with that.

Good venting too...I think I might actually need to order that aeroblocker thing for mine for the warmer months.

I like that I can get the funky inner liners and twistgrips too for ultimate geekery

I got an extra dark smoke shield.

The helmet hits my forehead pretty good and is a slight bit loose. I may have to change the pads in it later. Also it is a PITA to remove from my head even though is fits loose. Not too loose that i could go with a MED though.

Weird...it plants itself dead center on my forehead as well and wears me out after about 1 hour of riding. However, I've had this issue with several helmets lately for some reason. I figured I was or something.

I just ordered my extra dark shield from new enough yesterday damn you

I did wear the helmet for ~2 hours in the rain today and it performed very well, I was impressed.

I also found that you CANNOT fog the helmet. For the first 7 months that is. Now it fogs quite a bit when riding in the rain or on really cool mornings, bummer. I still really like the fit though but it is also REALLY noisy compared to my other helmets.

you talking about the aero skirt? http://shopping.scorpionusa.com/C55D...1D202D7E5332E4 if so I think I have one that you're welcome to have. I'll check tomorrow when I'm home.

try riding with a Suomy Spec1r and you'll know what a noisy helmet sounds like. The Scorpion is significantly quiter.

Yeah aero skirt...wanted to give it a shot anyways. I'll acquire it from you after your journey at some point

The scorpion isn't really quieter or noisier than anything else I've worn. Though I did realize the windscreen of a GS affects that very dramatically already

Haven't ridden with a Spec1r. I did try one on and couldn't get a good fit. The Scorpion with earplugs is way noisier than my HJC was without earplugs.

I have the Aero Skirt in mine. I think it helps a little in cold weather but doesn't make a lot of difference that I can identify.

I thought I had a problem with fogging too.

Then I called Scorpion and they told me to wash the visor with dishsoap and water only. No more fogging.
