Widder Electric Gear going out of business

Just got on to their site and saw where they have everything over $50 at 35% off. This sux as I have had one of their vests for about 10 years on 3 bikes and it is still like new. The reason I looked on their site was to see what it would bring if I sold it since I'm bike-less and I don't see myself getting into any cold weather touring for quite some time, but now that I see that I cant get another down the road, Im ordering another plug and putting the vest and gloves in the closet just in case....

That is too bad. I stayed warm with them for many years as well. Gerbing is the other (only?) option now.

Tourmaster, Aerostich, and Powerlet all seem to be growing their lines...

Sad to see anyone going out.

I've always used Gerbing and love it if you're looking for something else.

Meh...the cost just got too silly with all those newfangled wires and switches. Riding should be about how long the hard-edged bastards can withstand a drop in core body temperature...not how well a button pushing kid with a laptop can set up their vest...

*Disclaimer: I never go anywhere without my Widder, but no one ever accused me of being hard-edged either...

Well, that sucks. I've been extremely happy with mysystem 2 vest. If it ever dies I guess I'llhave to look eleswhere (and I have not been impressed with the fit/form of the Gerbings products.)
