Going to try Oxtar boots

Just ordered a pair here Oxtar TCS Evo Replica RX Motorcycle Boots :: New Enough Motorcycle Apparel

Couldn't resist the price and my Sidi pair was purchased around 2001-2002 so it was easily justified.

My buddy just got his at Christmas (the regular ones, not the replicas) and he loves them! I tried them on, and the juxtaposition of the plastic and plastic/leather is really great! You can be a ninja in these boots, unlike my A-stars SMX+ which hit about 85db during a fast walk...

Not sure what model Oxtar I have, but they squeak like mad, worse than my Sidi Vertebra boots. WD40 works for a while.

Just checked, they are plain vanilla flavour Oxtar TCS boots, oldish, maybe three years. Look very similar to the link photo, but plastic rather than metal sliders. I would disagree about the noise and fit - very noisy and wide fitting (wider than Sidi, at least)

Are those the 45s? What size shoe do you wear?

I saw the chart, and my Daytonas are 45s, but 11s are sometimes too small for me...

Yes they are size 45. I wear 11 in most shoes and these feel pretty comfy.

Anyone know how the Oxtars fit compared to SIDI?

I usually wear an 11 US shoe, but need a size 46 in SIDI.

As a matter of fact my old pair are Sidi Race Vertabra. I'd say they are very comparable in size. The Sidi may be a tiny bit more narrow...emphasis on tiny.

I'd agree that the Sidis may be just a tad more narrow, but both work fine for my size 12's.

These fit fine.

I've ridden a couple hundred miles in them over the last two days. The ventilation works, and mine don't squeak, yet anyway. Pretty comfortable to wear, and easy to walk in. I feel a bit naked wearing them compared to my Daytonas, but overall for $160 I consider them a good value.

I just picked up some of these for road work with the GS.

Oxtar Air Tech XCR Motorcycle Touring Boots :: New Enough Motorcycle Apparel

Got em fast as usual and they look pretty decent. Did not realize they were GoreTex when I ordered but it was a pleasant suprise.

Now just to USE them...will be exciting
