For sale is a 1999 CBR F4 race bike. This is Richard's bike, I am selling it for the family.
I have the bike in my possession right now and can be viewed by appointment.
The bike runs well, I have ridden it around the neighborhood several times.
The bike has Michelin PR1 120 and PR4 180 at about 80%.
Fox Shock is still in good condition with no leaks.
No motor leaks and runs well.

Vortex rear stand
14,510 miles showing on the odometer

The bike has been wrecked. Listed below is what I can find that needs repaired or damaged.
Front rim is bent, may be able to be repaired
Shifter is bent
Top of both forks hit the pavement and needs repaired. See photos. The tubes appear to be straight.
Body work is damaged, but can be repaired by someone with knowledge in fiberglass work.
Windscreen is missing.
More detailed pics can be taken upon request if need be.
$2000 OBO with you picking the bike up. Shipping can be arranged at buyers expense after full payment has cleared. All money from the sale will go to Rich's family. I am giving this board first dibs on the purchase of the bike but will open up the sale to outside boards in one week from this posting.

Thanks for doing this, Randy. You're a good Cajun.
No thanks needed bro. It is my pleasure to help out. And I did talk to Bob, he said the family is doing well.

Very good deal. Considering that for around 3K with repairs you can have a good track bike. As alot of us know, track bikes are expensive to build. But well worth it.

I have a friend who just bought a 2K version. do they have any of the stock stuff around? Namely an upper stay and a front fairing?
Glad to hear the family is doing well.
CBRVFR may be able to answer that better than I can. But as I understand it, Rich bought the bike as it sits in track form so I doubt he got any stock stuff with it.

Cool let me know if anything differnt comes up. Thanks.
Just to remind you, alot of us would like for this bike to stay in the family, if any of you are interested in this bike let me know and we may be able to negotiate something.
If it is the mechanic work that is scaring you away from this bike, do not let that stop you, just let me know your issues that you need help with and I will help you out with the repairs, including body work and paint. The only thing you will have in it, is the cost of materials.

Here is the situation. I received a call from Rich's friend, he stated that Linda was moving back to Michigan and was wondering what the status of the bike was. I explained that I was still searching for parts and planning on repairing the bike for sale. He asked what i thought the bike would go for "as is" and he asked me if i would go ahead and put it up for sale and see if it sold this way. I did not think to ask when she was moving.
