FJR For Sale
Time to sell my FJR. It is a 06 A model 8700 miles, more as I ride it. It is set up for comfortable 2-up long distance touring. It can also manage the twisties pretty well and even a bit of track time, I think
Modifications include:
Russell Day long seat. All leather with rider backrest and heat.
Audiovox Cruise Control with Skyway (?) mount.
Phillips HID driving lights
Heli-bars Tour Performance Triple Clamp w/ risers.
Power Commander III USB
Staintune Stainless Slip-on Exhaust cans.
Yamaha Extended Service plan till 04/19/2011
Scorpio alarm w/remote
Heated Grips
G2 Ergo throttle cam
Tacki Gran Touring Grips
Manic Salamander Heavy bar end weights
Frame sliders
Blue Sea fuse block
Cal-Sci Windsheild 3+3 I think
Laminar Lip on stock shield
Givi Top rack modified to accept Russel backrest for passenger use. Have stock rack too.
Reflective bag kit
Factory Service manual
Have the bag liners, extra lock cyl, and caps for bag holes
Maybe more that I can't remember now.
The bike is in good shape, all maint has been done as scheduled. There are some scratches on the left bag and end of mirror from a parking lot tip over.
I have pictures for those interested. I am posting this for sale for a week. If it doesn't sell as is I will pull off all the farkles that I can, paint the bags and mirrors, and relist it as such.
$12,500 with all listed above. PM me with any questions.

Do too.
Re: FJR For Sale
Did you do the Blue Sea fuse block yourself or did you buy it that way?
Either way, bravo. Blue Sea has some really nice waterproof marine grade stuff.

The Blue Sea was on the bike when I bought it, though I have taken it off and rewired a few things and reinstalled it. (so I get credit right? )
They are pretty popular on FJR's for adding extra electrical stuff.

What is going to be the replacement touring bike?
Amateurs practices until they get it right. A professional practices until they can't get it wrong.

Not sure yet. Possibly a VFR. Possibly something with some off road capability. I am open to suggestions.

1200GS Adv.
I'm biased, but then again I've done two 500 mile days in the past few months and felt better than getting off the RC after 70!
Happy to answer questions!
Nice FJR btw....I wanted one of those really bad before I found the BMW.

Thanks!
I do want to talk to you about your GS. I am really thinking I will go the Adventure Touring route. Not sure which bike yet.
I don't know that I want to spend the cash for a BMW, even though everyone seems to love the GS.
The guy I bought the FJR from has one. He does the ride from Key West to Prudhome Bay, Alaska on it.

My current cube-mate has a GS as his first bike. He's loving it so far. Rides every day, rain or shine.

Any time. Can't recommend it enought. It's the first bike I've had that I'm actually shooting for 100k + miles.

I ride mine to work almost every day.
Rain, shine, 15 degrees F, 105 degrees F, on road, off road, twisties, two-up long distance touring, and just about anything else you can think of. It just seems to do EVERYTHING well.
Deep sand isn't much fun, but a lot of that has to do with my off-road skills rather than the bikes abilities.
