A Family Jewel - Abtech built 2000 RC 51 Race Bike
This family jewel is "SOLD" & headed home where she belongs!
Built by Abtech, this motorcycle is beautiful to look at, very fun to ride, and even more fun to mess with people on the track when you come up on them & they think WW3 has just commenced, lol.
LTL purchased her directly from Abtech & I jumped at the opportunity to own her & keep her in the family when LTL decided to part with her. I've run her at my events at Willow Springs Streets of Willow course & also at Buttonwillow in California. I can't even begin to explain how many heads were turned when cruising through the pits, the inspection as she was displayed near the building, nor the other riders getting freaked out as they were about to be passed. She's special to so many of us that have had the opportunity to get to know Abtech over the years, and to those that know why he no longer owns her. I have had a great time on her, and am glad to say I got to know her pretty well. Unfortunately I need the space in the garage & the money (Getting old & off work due to sciatica..... blah!)
Thanks to Abtech for putting together such a fine machine. I hope she can stay in the family so I'm listing her here first.
Located in Riverside CA. Shipping will be the purchaser's responsibility.

Undoubtedly the most pristine and special RC51 I've ever seen (and I owned a pretty nice one). Sorry to see you've got to sell her, but best wishes with the sale. I know that the buyer will be getting a really fine bike.
I rode that bike at Grattan, AWESOME ride! Dave, I sure hope you'll go for it. I would if I have just a little extra cash... If you do get it I want to ride it again this year!!! PLEASE!!!!

To put the bike into perspective, Boo ripped off a set of mid 25s with a first lap of 26.8 the only time he ever rode it (Grattan). His best was a 24.3 on his 6th lap. He was being very cautious as he didn't want to replace it. The old guy (yours truly) usually ran 26s and 27s on this beasty. It's a blast to ride and has a lot of character!
That's the infamous Nick DeVinck moving the sighting cones for the street group in the first shot . . .

You'll likely have some extra cash I heard you were selling your trailer...
Awesome bike for sure. if I didn't already have the fleet that I do I'd be all over it.
Interested in a trade for a "lightly" used clean titled, one owner 04 1KRR?

U42 is awesome!! Can't keep the front tire on the ground, not that I'm complaining, hahaha!

I get more questions about what happened to that bike than any other I've owned. Solid, enjoyable set-up with lots of character.
Actually I copied most of your old post, I was running with the same battery, but it'll need to be replaced before the new owner takes delivery, or I can take a little bit off to cover it.

Tell her it's a rare opportunity to own an awesome piece of history & that you can pass the experience on to another member after awhile (unless you get selfish ).
NorthernRR, thanks for the offer, but I purchased a 2008 CBR100RR last October that I don't ride nearly enough....... may have 500 miles..... eek!
I'm certain someone will keep her in the family. I was thinking it would be cool if she got passed around and people added a little bit here and there to add a little bit of "extra" character. I had Marchesini mag wheels & a speed shifter in mind for her. Unfortunately I lost tons of money running my own events. A friend had (may still have) a white mag Marchesini rear incase the new owner might be interested.
BWHIP. but I don't know if you could trust that bike with the ducati's, they'd likely leave a little puddle of synthetic shell oil under them if you parked that beast by them.

With all the Motul that has been in that bike, the shell doesn't stand a chance . . .

Um, you do know where Idaho is, right?
Plus, my participation in this year's Grattan event is not yet a certainty.
Holy cow.
I just sold my Nikon 400mm lens, collecting well over $4900 in the process.
I have every intention of putting that cash towards the Canon 600mm lens I'm planning to buy...
