..doesn't argue politics on a motorcycle board
Well, glad to see you're still street riding - I don't remember you being the tallest candle in the menorah, so props to you riding a GS.
A sig line from Nabokov?!! Awesome!
Edit - that's a very' good deal on a well-sorted '51..

Good luck with the sale, Mike. Bump for a very nice, well-maintained bike, stand up seller. Great deal for someone.
Brewpub...we need to do that again soon!!

Thanks. I'm hoping for a buyer in Vermont so I have an excuse to go to the Alchemist in Waterbury. Cleveland might work too- Great Lakes Brewing again.

If I only had the cash...

Sorry to hear that you can't do the track any longer. I feel the pain, believe me.

Well Pal, it looks like it might be your lucky day. I am looking for a track tricked RC51 AND I work in Waterbury VERMONT, that's right, home of the aforementioned Alchemist!
I'm still shaking my head about that one ) I'm a big fan of the Donovan's Red, Pappy's Porter and the Sausage Sample Plate.
I will attempt to send you a private email with my contact info.

Well, through an almost bizarre coincidence, Fred bought my bike and I wish him good riding. I did deliver it to him in Vermont and my wife and I had several excellent beers at the Alchemist Pub and Brewery in Waterbury. Brecky's on cask, Heady Topper and Holy Cow IPA. BLT with local artisanal bacon, three cheese pizza and house smoked sausage sampler. Great stuff. Stayed at the Old Stagecoach Inn, stumbling distance away and Fred was gracious enough to pick up the tab. Excellent breakfast there too. Thanks too for the couple pounds of Green Mountain Coffee, roasted right there in Waterbury (home of Ben and Jerry's too.)
It was weird to pack the bike up and go. It felt like I was heading to the track again, all the gear in the trailer, bike strapped down. I put in a new battery and fired it up. Gawd, I love that sound and missed it, evil roaring get out of my way thunder. Life being what it is though, passions and pursuits must come and go, decisions and compromises made.

Now I have another destination in Vermont!!
Sorry to see your bike go, I remember that roaring sound behind me, then past me, the leather tassle zipper pulls on your jacket flapping as you'd fly by me on the downhill section, turn 7, at the Beave. Ah, the memories! Glad you found a buyer, and got a fun trip out of it!
Very wise, very true last sentence.
See you soon!!!! There are more brews to be tasted, somewhere!!!
