    Ohlins R&T FG831 Forks

I bought these forks new in 2002. They have 38k miles on them (roughly 3 track days, the rest road use). They were last serviced 1500 miles ago by Dan Kyle. Completely cleaned and re-polished the internals and put in new seals. The old seals were not leaking but I figured it wasn't much more $ to change them out while doing the rest of the service.

The forks are in great shape with some minor scratches where the triple clamps contact. Some of the smaller allen head screws have rust on them but hardly noticeable (I never noticed until I removed the forks from my 929 today).

These fit the CBR 954s, 929s, and the 900RR. They have .90 springs.

    $1200 + shipping.

Stupid question here from a stupid member. What makes them 954, 929 or 900 only? Diameter of the tube, length or the caliper pattern or all 3?

A 1000RR is a radial mount caliper so that would be different. Axle would maybe different I think and the RC does have a different rotor diameter making caliper fit different.

    do it.

I had thought about it for a second then realized I'm very happy with the work that's been done to my forks. and having ridden DaveF's bike with Ohlins even though I wasn't pushing I don't think I'd notice much if any difference.

The Ohlins have a clamp bracket on the bottom that holds the brake brackets. I imagine this part is different for various bike models, while the forks themselves are probably close to the same. There's no right/left fork, just how you mount the brackets to them. In the first image with the forks/manuals/parts, you can see a spacer that is used to fill the gap for the size axle the bike has. The fork leg's axle hole diameter is much larger than the 929s axle so you use that spacer.

I'll throw in Dan Kyle's preload adjusters.

Also if you need a different spring and want to set it up with Dan Kyle, I'll take them down there before shipping them. Maybe Dan would ship them as well so that might save you a little bit too since he normally ships this type of thing. I edited my post for + shipping.

Some more pictures. That zigzag looking scratch is right above the lower clamp area. A stone must have been stuck to the clamp when I removed it. The other leg scratch is under the lower clamp. You can see the rusty bolts on the brackets for the fender as well.

Just for reference, when I raced my 929 I had R&T's.

The bike was significantly lightened, I weigh around 170 unsuited, and a .95/.90 combo was perfect for me.

For street use, .90/.90 should be pretty good.
