For Sale 2002 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR XC

I bought this bike used way back, probably in '04 and only took it out a few times. I've recently come to the conclusion that I'm never going to have time to ride it as all my bike rides involve a child's seat on the back

Specialized Bicycle Components : 02 Stumpjumper FSRxc

    Description:
The bottom of the frame has a number stamped on it PH195405
Front Fork is a Rock Shox Duke
Rear Shock is a Fox FloatR
    Headset is 3X Sealed SP-3
    Derailler is Shimano Deore XT
    Shifter is Shimano Deore LX
Brakes are Avid Single Digit 3r
    Cranks are Strongarm II
    Wheels are Mavic
    Tires are Velociraptor 2.1
and the seat says CR MO on it but I believe its from Specialized.

Please bear in mind that I wasn't very into the sport even when I was riding so I've written down whatever I could find on the components. If you have any questions about them the internet certainly knows more than I do .

    Condition:
Very Nice! There are a few scrapes in the paint here and there but really the bike looks near new.
The right pedal is cracked, I think it happened in the last move and I noticed it too late to get money from the movers and I imagine replacing it probably easier than the hassle from the moving company anyway.

It comes with the water bottle holder and the little pump that you see attached to it.

I will deliver to Grattan but I'm not interested in shipping this bike.

    Looking to get about $350.

    Anyone interested?

If you guys don't get something worked out and if I'd be able to convince you on shipping I might be interested also. I've heard you can go down to a bike shop and they'll box and ship for you for a fee? Basically involves pulling off pedals and wheels is all and then turn the stem sideways. I've never shipped one but I've had four different bikes shipped to me.

Both are defective anyway.....they aren't clipless.

    Nice bike!

Nice bike, Dave. Good price too. You won't usually find a good FS bike for twice that price!

I don't know I can't find any markings on it other than that serial number. Probably a medium though, as I'm of average height.

Specialized puts the size on those "static" stickers. They place them near the bottom bracket. It has the size in the middle, and the couple I've bought said "Innovate or Die". They come off easy as they're made to.

I don't see it there in the pics, and they're obvious enough I probably would be able to if it was there.

See if you can find your bike's specs on Specialized's site and just measure the top tube.

    Clean bike!

    Thanks for the info, D.

Definitely no stickers like you described. Exactly where do I measure to/from?

    However, I'm pretty sure it's a medium.

Shipping bikes is pretty easy, and surprisingly affordable. Lots of good recommendations on the net.

Your bike shop might help for a few bucks... They have lots of boxes - you take the wheels off, remove the seat and loosen the handlebars.. I shipped a bike to my son in CA for less than 50 bucks.

I was about to say just put a kiddie seat on back like I did but now that I look at yours... Its a piece of cake for an old Balance AL450 hardtail.

I have yet to take my bike out or slap a kid on mine.

Yeah, I've shipped a couple in the past. The problem is the shipper insists (or at least they used to) you drop the bike off at a "hub". PITA for my lazy self

I looked into it but no one recommends putting a kid seat on a soft tail bike due to the mounting point issues.

I would think that you can ship it from a bike shop. Hey if you meet me half way I have a 2003 fuji finest in a 54cm that looks brand new and only has about 50 miles on it. Its dark blue and silver. You could put a kids seat on it.

no update on this post so I'd thought I'd add. If you take it to the nearest bike shop, they'd be able to package it up for you and be able to ship it out at new owners expense. I've shipped several DH bikes to other countries and within the states... if a buyer wants it... they'll pay for shipping
    yep... that's what I thought

Thanks for the bumps guys! The bike is still chillin' in my garage. I'll probably put it on Craig's list in the spring. I just can't be arsed with the shipping, I'm too busy.

How's $325 sound? It's all clean and ready to go. What's your timeframe for pickup?
