See you at Grattan
2000 RC51 Street Bike
2000 RC51
11,3xx miles
Excellent condition, well maintained, and I am the original owner
Never down or damaged
Minor use scuffs can be easily rubbed out
Some paint flaking on swingarm (easily fixed, but want full disclosure)
Newer tires
Clean and ready title
Minimal modifications, just the stuff that makes a great bike better:- Forks reworked by Dan Kyle Racing (as plush as the Ohlins on the track bike)
- Penske shock, 2-way (good control out back)
- Power Commander (fuels right)
- Flapper removed (sounds great)
- SATO adjustable clip-ons (much improved comfort)
- Sargent seat (also have the stock one)
- Stainless braid front brake lines (replaced in 2008)
- Swing arm spools
- Bodywork protectors (very tight fit, barely notice them)
I’m sure there are other things I’m forgetting right now.
The bike is an absolute blast to ride, but not great on my daily commute which is about all I do anymore. I had bought the bike to keep, picking it up the day after it arrived at the dealership … it never saw the showroom floor. I’ll be keeping the track bike and enjoying that great V-twin there.
Let me know if you have any questions, and I can deliver to Grattan for MCADX.org days (hint, hint)
$5000 ($4500 without the Penske)
Here are some pictures taken June 13, 2009. I have these and more in much higher resolution.

Tiny Elvis sez Lookit those rotors, they're HUGE!
Great looking bike! I'd grab it if I could.
Stock exhaust? Isn't that a sin on those?

Age of bike + rider = 78 !!
Niner, this bike NEEDS you. I still remember the day your old one got plucked out of your garage.

It is a fantastic bike and in great condition, ready to go.
The TBR's I had on it went to the race bike. I figure this makes it a clean slate for someone to put the pipe of their dreams on. Enough noise comes with the flapper mod to let the rider enjoy when the throttle is open, and stealth mode when exploring the potential of the bike is nice too.

Maybe. My wife keeps telling me we need one around the house for protection. I mostly just haven't moved it up high enough on the priority list yet ... need to downsize the other toys first

I tried to price it to sell without taking too much of a bath, so it is good to hear someone thinks it is a reasonable price. Thanks.

No Hammer this year :(
If you need a good spot to put it out to the road let me know. I sold my 98' in less than 1 day. Heavy traffic spot. I could watch it and bring it in for the night. Just giving you an option if you need one.

Thanks Silver, I might consider that. I thought I'd bump it here before I list it elsewhere. I'm just getting back to this after Grattan.
BTW, we missed you today.

Likewise, I was there just a little late
