2007 CBR600RR Race / Track Bike
This is really going to break my heart, but I think it's the right decision.
F/S: 2007 Honda CBR600RR Racebike
Ready to race, just add gas.
Bought this in the summer of 2007. It was a wreck from Saskatchewan with 630Kms on the clock. By the looks of it some prairie kid had gone over the handlbars and the bike was written off. The damage turned out to be mainly superficial, with the frame, wheels, forks and all cycle parts in excellent shape, so I went about turning it into a track bike and spent the next 6 months building it the way I wanted for the 2008 race season. The process is documented with dozens of photos.
It is significant that this bike is from Saskatchewan. In Saskatchewan, vehicle insurance and registration are controlled by a government monopoly called SGI, and they don't brand VINs on motorcycles. When a motorcycle is written off, they simply require an inspection for the next owner to re-register it. If one were so ambitious as to turn this back into a streetbike, it could be registered in Canada without salvage status. We don't have vehicle titles in Canada, so there would be some hoops to jump through to title it in the US.
Since I bought it, this bike was raced for 6 rounds and did a few track days and schools. It has about 2300 original Kms (1400 miles) on it. I've never crashed it. I've changed the oil 4 times and the water 3 times. I've kept it immaculately clean and maintained.
This is what is included:
Sharkskinz composites race body with superbike tail. Professional quality paint automotive paint job. (Subaru World Rally blue and Ford Vivid Canary yellow) Stomp grips on tank cover and tail
Forks and shock re-sprung, re-valved and with new adjusters by Vass Performance

I have an '03 CRF450 'tard i've been looking at dealing... Not an X and it likely needs a bottom end rebuild but it would be a GREAT start with the parts I have on it and I already have a magneto for it to run the lights...plus I have all the dirt stuff and 2 sets of spare tires and sprockets.
Really could use a new 600...
Shoot me a pm if you're interested...
See you at GRATTAN

I could come up with a 450, but how much cash do you plan on putting with it?
Sold the house, now looking for more bikes? I don't know if it will make you any more sane. [/QUOTE]I thought you were selling a bike?

Sold
New owner is driving down from Fort McMurray to pick it up Friday Morning.
I'll be sad to see it go, but happy that someone else will be getting enjoyment from it. It's just wrong to have it sit in the garage collecting dust.

I'm waiting for the right deal on a dirtbike... our motorcycle show is in January and there are usually a few dealers blowing out leftovers at that time. And then I've got to convince Jessica that we need a 2010 VFR1200.

I could probably get the Honda store to give me a good discount on a 2-bike deal.
