Shit I'd feel guilty paying that little for that bike... even though it is a Suzuki.

Hey hey, I still have a good 4 months ahead of me. No hurry here. I'm really looking for a 07 600RR. The only one I've seen so far where not worth buying. I can get a new one for the price they where asking.

...dude you ride an offroad bike with slicks, 1/2 the weight of a GS, double the suspension, with a browning 50 cal going off 32" from your skull as a daily freaking driver - I'd expect anything except a nitro dragbike to be bland by comparison - SSG

I took a double take at the price when I seen it. Clean title too.

Re: 600cc race bike
I wouldn't touch it. It looks more like a parts bike to me. Spend some more money and get a decent bike to start with.

Already set up race bikes aren't much more expensive than that.

Re: 600cc race bike
Looks pretty rough. Swingarm and subframe will be a bit of money that you don't need to spend.... Tank is ratched too. Even the rad took a pretty good whack there.

Even knowing I lucked out with my wreck, I don't think I'd pay more than $2k for that one. Looks like it took a pretty good tumble.

Re: 600cc race bike
With the repair/rebuild experince I've gained over the years I have to agree with the pack so far. Looks like a lot of damage for the asking $$.

Never even bought a used bike, so I don't have much confidence with salvage one.... Don't know what to do
Though most would be replaced off a new bike consider value. Either the ability to reconvert to street use or as used parts.

Re: 600cc race bike
I would walk away from that one JBD. With most of the damaged parts gone it is really hard to tell what area got the most impact in the spill. The forks on these new sportbikes are fragile and expensive to replace. I lucked out on mine, has one lower tube that was tweaked .002 and cost $500 to replace it. You can look around at some bikes that are already set up for a couple of grand more than that.
What are you wanting? It seems you are wanting a 2007 CBR600, you seem to be leaning in that direction. There are not a lot of racers that are running honda, due to contingency money, at least around here. So they will be hard to find, unless it is a die hard Honda fan. If you are wanting "That Bike" you may take a look at purchasing a new bike and selling the parts that you do not need to fund the upgrades you are wanting. You would have to do the math and see what the possibility is of doing it that way. I did get some good money out of the plastic on my bike that was good on Ebay. Just a thought.

Re: 600cc race bike
The pack is right. I've seen 07s with lowside damage for $4000. I think buying a new one is your best bet. You might get a sweet deal on a left over, what with all these 08s coming in.

Re: 600cc race bike
$9,500 for a 2006 GSXR 600 set up very nice
I guarantee you that you will spend way more setting up a bike that this one will run you, and you still will be short some of the goodies.
