However, I'd advise you to stick to a newer bike in a class like 600s where the new bike development is at that high of a pitch.
Even though an 07 CBR might not have all the bling, with good set-up and massaging of the stock bits, it very well could be a faster motorcycle.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. I have some time... I don't want to get one in spring as I will pay more for it but mostly, I don't want to be working on a bike when everyone is out there playing. Seasons are way too short up here.
