    Re: 600cc race bike

    Another one, 2005 Yamaha R6

Fully prepped racebike with a clean/clear Michigan title. I have only raced it 1 weekend this year (2 weeks ago at Grattan). It was raced in 2006 in AMA Supersport by Aaron Bell. I purchased this bike from Aaron in March of this year with the hopes of racing it this year and next, but I just can’t afford to race right now, so I have to sell it.

    Here are the bike details:

    • Clean Michigan Title
    • 2005 Yamaha R6 (Blue/Black)
    • 885 miles on the odometer (bike probably has around 1400 miles, but the odometer does not work with the YEC kit wiring harness)
    • YEC kit wiring harness
    • YEC kit ECU
    • SS spec Motor (123 hp) – have the engine build paperwork and dyno chart
    • Ohlins 25mm kit front forks setup by Thermosman
    • Ohlins triple click rear shock with remote pre-load adjuster setup by Thermosman
    • Dynojet Power Commander
    • Dynojet Quickshifter
    • Yo-yo Dyne Quick Turn Throttle (adjustable – 3 cams)
    • Graves full titanium exhaust
    • Vortex Fairing Stay
    • Vortex Clip-ons
    • Graves CFM rearsets
    • Woodcraft case covers
    • Vortex gas cap
    • Vortex Sprockets
    • 520 Chain
    • Scotts Rotary Steering Damper
    • Superbike (thin) stainless front brake lines
    • Body is perfect

    Extras included:

    • XT racing laptimer receiver
    • MiChron timing beacon
    • Spare rear wheel with rotor
    • Spare Morse Racing Fairing Stay
    • Spare Rear Swingarm
    • Front and rear stands
    • Spare set of Vortex bars
    • 2 sets of stock clip-ons
    • 14 and 16 tooth front sprockets (14 is on the bike)
    • 42, 44, 46, 47, and 50 tooth rear sprockets (46 is on the bike)
    • I also have a bunch of spare motor parts from a different motor if the buyer wants them.

Asking $7200 obo for everything. Bike is sprung for 165-180 lb rider.

If you have any questions, please give me a call at 269-207-4247
    or email at ryan.vanleeuwen@charter.net

    People don't have money.

I tried to sell my 929 with a shitload of bling for like $10k. Not even one offer.

Yeah, there's a ton of real nice gixxer on there, not too much CBR though. I'd really like to find a CBR with that kind of set up.

No kidding, now is a great time to buy a race bike. I put my R6 on there for $5500, and didn't get a single bite. Mostly because others are selling the same bike for 4K.

    Re: 600cc race bike

I might have just found something.... A Canadian superbike racer is selling one of his 07 600RR.

Elka suspension, full Hindle, Hinson slipper clutch, HRC rad, Hyper pro damper, quick throttle, pc3....... There's some more but that's the principal. He's asking 11,000 Canadian.

I'm waiting on a call back from the guy.

Yeah, thanks for the compliment but you're either underestimate yourself or over estimate me.

I think I'd really like that 1098 especially after seeing those dyno # you posted. But if you can't afford to crash it then you better not get one

    Re: 600cc race bike

I might just go with a brand new 07 600RR. I just called a dealer in NH and they can sell me one for 8850$ OTD. I might be able to deal a little more but. If I can sell the fairings for 1000$, I end up with a brand new bike for 7850$. Let say I put 3000$ worth of crap on it I end up with a pretty damn nice track bike for 10850$

I will give it more time as I'm in no hurry, but this is tempting.
