I think I've found a leftover 2007 GSXR 750 that is begging me to pick it up for track days and since I'll also need leathers, boots, etc.. the Honda needs to find a new home.
To those who know these bikes, the VFR is a real pleasure to own.
To those who don't, I haven't been able to pull into a dealership this year without one of the salesman commenting on how great the mid-90's Viffer's were.
She has about 8,200 miles on her now. Tires are still like new.
I'm going to put her in the yard for $4,400-ish this weekend. I'll still honor the original price to .Org members, but it is firm.

If you think that loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to really ride that thing could do.
...dude you ride an offroad bike with slicks, 1/2 the weight of a GS, double the suspension, with a browning 50 cal going off 32" from your skull as a daily freaking driver - I'd expect anything except a nitro dragbike to be bland by comparison - SSG
Dang good price and a very nice specimen. It would be a great replacement for my '94 ... willing to trade for a slightly worn '94 with 56K(?) on the dial? If I swapped, the wife wouldn't be the wiser
Good luck with the sale, and the new track toy.

Thanks, but my wife would notice that I didn't make any money towards the new bike!

I was assuming the value difference would go to you in cash, but that might not be enough to get all of the track gear you would want. If you don't get any action, it might be an option to keep a VFR and get a little cash for the effort.

....but I would prefer that someone who will care for this bike picks it up.
Anyone? Make me an offer I can't refuse!
New Pics. For those who haven't seen one, the paint is amazing. Red with a gold fleck throughout. Even the black Honda logo has a gold fleck in it. I tried to get a pic, but it doesn't show nearly as well as when the sun hits it.

First, sorry again to drive everyone nuts with this for sale thread.
Second, I've managed to pick up the GSXR and hold onto the VFR (for now.)
For now, she's no longer for sale. This is the only site I had her up for sale on (this time) and I can't stand the thought of sending such an old and original bike off to the stunt-yard or track in the hands of a new owner.
Things may change again in the future when the track-day addiction takes over. For now, thanks for understanding.

Picking up the 600rr track bike tomorrow morning. As much as I love the VFR, I need to try and sell it. I'm not going to "give it away" and would really prefer that it goes to a rider that will take care of it like everyone here would.
Wow...I can't believe you still have this.
I'm just up the road. I could be there in about thirty minutes.
Anyone got about $4K to loan me?
DUX, you wanna trade that for a really nice DSLR and some lenses?
Hey Taz,
I forgot this was still posted as open, sorry.
Thanks, but I wouldn't know what to do with the camera.
I ended the Ebay auction early and somehow I managed to keep the bike without going into the penalty-box with the wife. She's a very understanding person.
Either that, or she just got tired of my crying that it was going to wind up in the hands of some squid who just wanted a sub-$4k motorcycle and that it was going to wind up destroyed within a year.
Just wait until she finds out how much an RC-30 would cost to "round out" the collection.
Anyway....it stays in the garage for now. You and I still need to hook up for a ride sometime!

Glad to hear you're able to keep it. What a beautiful machine. If I owned it, I'd be very tempted to use it as a commuter, since it's gotta be cheaper to fuel up than my Expedition.

Hahaha. Yes, we do.
Except I'd have to borrow (or rent) something to ride, as I haven't had a bike of my own in about six years.
I think it's damn near inexcusable that we've never met, as we live so damn close to each other (and there aren't too many Delaware guys here on the forum)!
Despite selling my last remaining bike in 2002, I made sure to keep some riding gear, and through the extreme generosity of friends, and also thanks to my credit card, I manage to get some riding in each year. For example, this year jetbdude and NorthernRR each trusted me with their (super nice) bikes for a few sessions at Grattan, and I spent a week out in Utah in September, doing a trackday at Miller on a rented 600RR and then doing a ~2500 mile tour on a rented GoldWing. (What an awesome vacation!) Last year at Grattan, nhfirefighter13 set me loose on his 929RR, which brought back a lot of memories.
Since '03 I've taken borrowed bikes to Daytona, Americade, and Grattan (twice). I'm such a mooch!
Hey - speaking of Grattan, are you going to try to make it this year, finally?

I know the feeling. I was riding almost every day until I got sick in early November. I was better for a few days last week, but now have something else! It's a good thing it only costs $35 to fill my truck up now!

That's the game plan. Some other pieces have to fall in place, but if at all possible I will be heading out there. We may have to road-trip. Sell that camera and get a bike!!!!

I'm sure we could drive up together.
And with friends like the .org'ers, who needs to buy a bike!
We'll see. I have one of those cute little "Yamaha Factory Financing" credit cards burning a hole in my wallet. R1 or R6?

You may see me at NJMP anyway...I hear there may be an opening for a trackday photographer there.
Sweet! Yeah, Dennis got himself kicked out somehow, so I've heard....
