FS: 2004 MV Agusta SPR **Price Drop $10,000

MV Agusta F4-750 SPR
Most people don't know what this bike is, but the aficionados do. The SPR was a very limited run of 300 units worldwide, this is SPR #276. New this bike cost $25,000. This bike was a statement as the fastest, most powerful MV Agusta 750cc F4 they made. It has racing inspired modifications, beyond the already high specification F4, as listed by system below:

To research, check this link: MV Agusta F4-750 SPR

The Chassis:
Marzocchi forks with 50mm legs and titanium nitride treatment
Sachs Racing shock absorber with double adjustment for compression
Adjustable rearsets

The Engine:
The F4 SPR is equipped with the most powerful engine of the F4 range. Derived from the EV engine, it differs from the standard F4 engine by the following:

Cyinder head:
New inlet and exhaust ducts (geometry and shape)
New inlet and exhaust profiles (greater lift and duration)
New inlet ducts hand polished
New timing buckets with new surface treatment
New springs for inlet valves

New Mahle Racing pistons
Increased compression ratio (13:1)

Reinforced clutch (discs with different trim and material)
Close ratio gearbox with new longer first gear

Performance mapping with Rev limiter at 13,900rpm
Different exhaust pipe, no cat

Extra Carbon parts compared to stock F4:
front fender
ignition switch cover
rear and lower chainguard protection
covers for ram air ducts
side panels for airbox

Mine specifically-
2000 mi

Modifications:
Technosel seat
Carbon fairings
Brembo radial MC
FBF bar risers
RG3 Midpipe
1 Extra sprocket

Salvage title, though it is street legal and plated, having recently had its CHP and Brake and Lamp inspections. It was totalled due to a slow lowside on the right side, this bike did not need to be totalled by the insurance adjuster as the only mechanical damage was the brake master cylinder, everything else was cosmetic. All important damaged parts were replaced/upgraded. Have side fairing from crash to show documenting what happened as well.

Wow - That's commitment.

Sort of wish I hadn't already tied my cycle $ up in the Hyper.

Good luck with the sale.

just curious, but the bike looks good enough to get inspected, why dont you get the title switched to rebuilt?

It's in great shape! I ride it all the time and have done a couple trackdays on it. I don't think they call it "rebuilt" in California, but I'd guess it would already be considered as such.

It has recently passed inspections by the California Highway Patrol and a certified Brake and Lamp. It's plated, road legal, insured, the whole deal.

The only real difference for a salvage title vehicle (provided it's been re-titled like this one) is that you cannot use it as collateral to get a loan.

Dropped price, refined description and a couple more pics. This thing is hard to photograph for a novice like me though.

The more I look at this the more I think I need one...

How is it on the street? My VFR is great, but, honestly I've always wanted a "COOL" bike to cruise around on around town(you know "Pose" on I guess, that and maybe the occasional trip to calabogie...)

I've never ridden a VFR, but this ain't no VFR replacement! I think it is a great cafe to cafe bike though...and love riding it to work.

Maybe you'd end up arguing with the Ducatisti, but it's the Ferrari of bikes. I think that's really the right way to view one of these, although they aren't really high maintenance.

The engine is a tuned version of the street design(read the description), and it is a bit more high strung than normal. The first gear is tall. This one has bar risers, but it's still a supersport riding position. A stiff seat. I've done an over 300 mile day on it without too many complaints, but I ride bicycles too, which are far more uncomfortable than any motorcycle, so I'm not really a good judge.

It is noticably heavier than say a 929. It's got 50mm forks, huge triple clamps, and a strong chassis (all heavy stuff). People I know that have ridden the 916s compare it to that in chassis feel, which would make sense as the same guy designed both bikes. VERY planted in corners, but more effort to steer.

I get a hit or two a week, but nobody has taken it home yet.

I think I need to revise the ad also.

If someone in Indy wants to buy it for $10,500, we can talk.

Otherwise, bump with low price and better description. Get an SPR for the price of a used F4.

Just be careful with it. There have been alot of scams where the check is declared no good after the bike has been picked up and is gone. It initially looks good but there is a nasty bite later.
