2000 RC-51 Racebike *Price Dropped!*

As most here know, I bought this bike last year from abtech. It is absolutely fantastic, and ready to race. For a 170-180 pound rider I doubt you'd even have to set the sag. I haven't had to do anything but change the oil, change the numbers, and polish it. Selling as I will not be doing any trackdays this year.

2000 RC51 with clear title (Track Only, no street stuff)
2003 Swingarm conversion
2003 front fairing stay (aluminum instead of steel)
Ohlins 3 way shock, factory revalved
Kyle forks
Kyle shock link
Sprint Damper
Racing fluid retention
Custom superbike rear subframe with electronics tray and debris cover
Power Commander with excellent dyno created mapping (both fuel and ignition)
EBC Superlite Rotors
AFAM sprockets (43/44/45 rear, 15 front)
DID 520 X-Ring racing chain
Stainless lines all around
Squidskins Type II airbox (track only, no filtration)
Pyramid hugger (rear fender)
Akro TI/CF full exhaust with Harris hangers
Keyless ignition (kill switch activated)
Woodcraft Rearsets
Woodcraft Clip-ons
SBS brake pads with spare set
Assorted spares (levers, rearset parts etc.)
Near new Dunlop slicks
Customized racing wire harness
Mid mounted lightweight battery (kinda on its last legs, but will charge and fire the bike)
Full external crankcase breather system
Flapper mod
Soft Rev mod
PAIR mod

Can get more pictures on request.

Fixed that for you. This is an awesome bike.

Dayumm, I shouldn't be looking at this stuff. Sorry to hear you're not going to be able to run it this year though.

BTW, the battery is available at several internet sellers, just make certain you get the same number, as most batteries that size don't have enough current capability to spin up the motor.

I had the opportunity to go slow on that bike 2 years ago. I wish I had some spare cash right now, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Awesome bike that as probably been maintained better than Rossi "A" bike. Good luck with the sale.

Probably my favorite bike I've owned too.

So what would it take to make it a street bike again? Brakelight switch, Custom brake light grids and aftermarket headlights? Needs a harness?

I was wandering around Bert's mega mall getting hounded by all the sales folk. To shut them down I would just ask for a RC. Nothing else seems to excite me.

That bike has been optimized for track use, from the race gas to the low restriction pipes that break windows a mile away to the slicks and removal of every ounce of unnecessary weight - meaning EVERYTHING that would make it work for the street. - For what it would take to make it back into a streetbike, you might as well get one that is already being used for dual-purpose -

Yeah, I have to agree with CBRVFR. This bike is heavily modified for the racetrack.

If getting it titled is anything like what I went through with the MV (getting it plated from a salvage cert) it's just not worth it in terms of paperwork and inspection hassles alone (I also spent over $1500 on the MV in taxes, inspections and various fees getting it road legal), much less undoing all the track specific mods that make this bike so worthy.

The thread on those tires is completely gone... and what's up with cutting the radiator in half and setting it sideways?

Those are "threadless" tires . . .

FYI, for those that have had the opportunity to circulate around Grattan, Boo was doing 24s on this bike a couple of years ago without even pushing it . . .

All right, serious price drop, $5000, and some better new pics.

You need to post it on the Rogue board. Let Sheep do it.

If someone wants to link it, I'd appreciate it.

I personally don't think it's right to join boards just to sell something so I don't do it.

What's the problem here? This is an awesome bike!!

LTL, take off the Nixon mask, it might be hindering your attempts to sell these bikes.

BTW, I really like this bike and I'm at pain threshhold, I don't think I'll go below $5k...for anyone thinking of a lowball offer.

This is the cleanest, trickest, most pristine RC51 I have ever seen, ever. A great deal for someone.
