The lighter the better but definitely want 12" wheels not 8". I'll be towing it behind my Nissan Sentra SE-R. The second one is available for purchase new for $395. Maybe I should just go that way? Offers or suggestions welcome.

Are these the Harbor Freight trailers?

If they are, find a few people that have used them some and make sure they haven't had any failures.

If their trailers are anything like every product I've ever used from that abortion of a tool store, it's a disaster waiting for an inopportune time and place to happen.

No, they are from here. Motorcycle Trailer Kit For Hauling Motorcycle or Dirt Bike.

Probably equal quality to Harbor Freight though based on price?

This isn't going to be a "trailer for life," I need something for the next two years or so, that is small enough that I don't have to buy a tow vehicle and low cost enough that I can still afford a trip to the track after buying it.

My real motivation for wanting one though is that I'll be spending six to seven weeks of riding weather in Idaho so I want to be able to tow my bike with me when I go.

Direct to the exact model: Street Racer Motorcycle Trailer Kit 832TA-1TS76M

Spend the extra $150 $200 and buy the one from Home Depot. Have you looked on Craigslist?

Didn't think about craigslist.

Wish this was just a bit smaller and lighter.

3 place motorcycle trailer (fully powder coated)

I've been eying a 5x10 utility trailer at Tractor Supply. It's got a composite floor, folding gate, and 15" wheels for $1k. looking for a used one, but I may just spring for the new one. Not sure.

I have a 5x10 from Tractor Supply. I replaced the floor boards and did a little extra work on it but it tows well and carries both of our track bikes without issue.

A friend of mine had one of those build it yourself kits that he used for about 5-6 years and it worked well. I'll try to find the link later.

5x10 seems like it would be a little big and heavy for towing with my cars.

My harbor freight trailer works fine. Just check those bearings or replace them with good ones right away.

Slick... I wish you were closer... I know a guy who would probably pay you to take that little single bike trailer from him right now. I could also sell you my harbor freight for cheap, but its way too far to be worth the trip.

Check the WERA/Nesba/(insert racing forum here) boards... IIRC they usually have cheap stuff popping up here and there. Especially when those guys upgrade to the big boy trailers.

I'm going to go check out the Home Depot one today. The shipping on the one I linked above is $100 so there might not be to much price difference.

I picked up a light-weight 5x8 utility trailer at Lowe's a couple years back (HD didn't have them here yet) and it works reasonably well behind my 2.5L Contour. It might actually do better behind the torquier 4-cylinder than my low torque V6. The biggest thing is the wind resistance from the fold up ramp. Even with mesh it is like putting out the parachute. With 2 VFR's on the trailer it did pretty good ... until we hit the long hill with a head wind; that slowed us down to 70.

Paying a little extra for quality and convenience is a good thing. Be sure to look over the trailer you get well because they throw some of those together pretty quick. I discovered they hadn't terminated the ground wire on mine; nothing big other than time waste figuring out why the lights weren't working right.

I have the 2.5 liter with the SE-R SpecV package so it actually has a decent amount of power. I would probably remove the ramp just to save a little fuel and would never have more than one bike so it might work out pretty well.

Negative. I'm from Noo Yawk or if you're from here: New Jork.

That single bike trailer is awesome if you will definitely be doing solo track days. My buddy has the exact same one pictured. But for those times when you can split expenses, its hard to beat a 2 or 3 bike trailer.

Which one of the pictures? The middle one?

I just bought a snownmobile trailer new for about $1100 from a local bike shop.

Its way better resale and easier to get rid of when the time comes. Cause it can be used for sleds, bikes and ATVs.

They are real light and and hold 3 bikes pretty easy. Plus they are built to hold sleds that are heavy when compaired to a bike. So they hold up nice.

No association, but since there seems to be an interest in trailers. I just saw this on the Ann Arbor, Michigan craigs list. Supposedly only 500 miles on it for $1400. Looks purdy.

Kendon Dual Big Bike trailer-folds and stands-up! NICE

Detro Trailer sales
7080 N Us Highway 231Bainbridge, IN 46105765-522-6277

That is where I got my trailer and Frenchier6 got her trailer. Good prices and no haggling, the price is on the trailer tongues and that is the price. I tried to haggle with no luck so do not even try. But they already had excellent prices. Located just north of Putnam Park raceway. Sometimes that do have used trailers as well. From my experience, used trailers hold their value and most want retail for their used trailers plus upgrades they have done.
