You may be able to get a better deal up there because most of them are manufactured up there, but the way gas prices are you may be better off with a shorter drive.

Sorry for the crappy pic, but I just picked up this puppy. 5x10 w/ a drop gate. It's rusty, but functional. And there's already a wooden wheel chock built into the wood floor. I'm going to have to get a hitch w/ a longer drop.

I'm still looking for something small to tow behind my car. Let me know if you see anything.
...dude you ride an offroad bike with slicks, 1/2 the weight of a GS, double the suspension, with a browning 50 cal going off 32" from your skull as a daily freaking driver - I'd expect anything except a nitro dragbike to be bland by comparison - SSG
That's got evl's name all over it. He was asking about an enclosed trailer a few months back.
I have to stay small because I'll be towing with a 190hp 2.5L 4 banger.

I went to Tractor Supply tonight and looked at this one. 4x6ft for $399.
I like the size of this one from Harbor Freight better for towing behind my car and the price is nice at $279. It would fit in my garage better also.
The Tractor Supply trailer definitely seems very well made. Just more money and harder to store.

A wheel-chock works well enough with some canyon dancer straps. Two 1100 mile trips with a fat bike and no problems yet.
Don't forget to buy something to help you anchor the straps to the trailer. Some kind of hook or something. And don't forget to buy a spare tire either.

Yeah on the 40x50 you'd def need a rail because the frame/chassis isn't long enough to actually hold bike tires at both ends The rail on mine hangs over in both places at least 8" or so and the CRF barely fit on there.

The Seamii are awesome.

I've seen a few bikes on the 40x50 so I knew I'd be hanging over a bit but I figured that would give me the smallest overall package. I think my dad has me talked into going the 4x6 route since it offers a little more versatility. I'm still not sold either way at the moment. If I had a bigger garage I wouldn't even hesitate on the 4x6. I wish I had more free time, I'd just come get yours.

You really have to think of resaleability...cause upgrading is the natural progression for trailers...the 4x6 = quick sale.
That was another point my dad made (it turns out he's a pretty smart guy). At this point it is virtually guaranteed that I'll be upgrading. Probably as soon as the day comes that I have a bigger tow vehicle and a bigger storage space. I have plenty of room for a 4x6 on my back "patio" here but I think management would have an issue with that. It will have to go in the garage. Probably against a wall.
