Luimoto - Seat skins

Luimoto - Seat Skins
Welcome to Luimoto.com | quality moto products

Very nice craftsmanship and looks durable enough for day-to-day riding.

I was planning on trying to mount the skins myself, but I ran into problems. Not with the product, but with the items needed to install. I seem to have misplace my staple gun and all the ones my friends had to offer, just didn't have the power to punch through that tough plastic. I didn't want to buy a new staple gun as the one I have is pretty nice (for a staple gun), so I decide to just take it into a local guy and have him do it for me.

I wasn't sure how it was going to look, so I purchased a set of used seats that I found on eBay. That made it easy to swap out the seats for some comparison shots.

Tell me what you think. I figure since I have the nice matching rear cowl on there I probably wouldn't use these much. But after getting them on the bike and seeing how good they look, they are already growing on me.

Re: New seat skins from Luimoto

They look good by themselves, but IMO they don't match the tail section of the bike real well. You can tell where the rider's skin follows the graphics of the side panels but the passenger skin doesn't flow very well.

That bike is an excersise in over-the-top graphics.. they look cool, in my opinion, and probably more so with a rider in the proper leathers.

Not a fan of the pillion cover but I like the rider's seat.

Re: New seat skins from Luimoto

Yeah, they would at least look like they somewhat belonged if the rear seat was just black, but if you like them that's all that really matters.

Talk about reviving an old thread.

I just picked up a set of the new "Repsol" approved version of the seat skins. As you can see, these do match the Repsol Orange much better than the older SP style I had before. I like the new embroidered logos, but I do miss the "Repsol" along the front of the rear seat.

Overall I'm impressed with the new skins and the new improved look.

She would notice the deficit in our bank account. No new bikes for me for a while. We are building our dream house for the next bazillion years.

Good luck on the dream house.

I had to ask, since another member has gotten away with something like that before after "scratching" his bike at the track.

Don't like the frame on the new Repsol, should be black not silver

I'd rather have the one above
