readyramp.com (and readylift) SUCK *UPDATED*

about 2-2.5 weeks ago I placed an order for a ramp that folds into bed extender. after I didn't recieve anything, email, a phone call or the ramp I tried emailing them through their website. tried that twice and they never responded. So monday I called them up and got a supervisor on the phone. She checked the system and said the order never came through. So I order one right there through her and she charged me the regular shipping price for 3 day shipping because I needed it for this weekend. So I get a box today that says ReadyLift Suspension. No idea what that is so I open it, its a suspension leveling kit. what the hell is that, its not even on the website. So I check the website and the phone number is the same as whats on the bill. So I just called and told them I got something I didn't order. The guy checks and says that I placed 2 orders, 1 over the internet for the ramp and one over the phone for apparently the suspension. They have 2 companies. So the lady who I talked to on Monday is a complete fucking retard and sent me something I didn't even know existed. The guy said the ramp is on backorder till mid July, yeah thats not gonna work.

So I guess I'll have to make due with the 2 wood ramps I have and no bed extender. thanks a freakin boatload lady, how the hell did you get to be a supervisor.

Re: readyramp.com (and readylift) SUCK

When I bought mine a couple of years ago they were great. I ordered one of the lighter ones. They called and said they were out of stock, but would give me the higher capacity one for the same price if I wanted it (I did). Sorry you had a bad experience with them.

I got some curved ramps from either Sears or Tractor Supply. They were ~100 bucks, but they work well. I walk on one and drive the bike up the other.

they sending me a return label to send the suspension kit back, refunding my money and canceling my ramp order.

yeah I have 2 wooden ramps with the metal ramp end kit on them so I'll just use them. throw some of that traction tape on them and be good to go. I put the bike in back of my truck a couple weeks ago with them. going up was alright but I was a little uneasy about bringing it down myself (although I hope there might be some good samaritans in Michigan )

as far as the bed extender. I'll just be sure to have everything thats in the bed tied down good (I'm kind of anal about that anyway) so I won't have to worry about it going anywhere.

Re: readyramp.com (and readylift) SUCK

well now that its almost 2 months since I started this thread I finally have all my money back. over the past week or two I've been sending them emails asking for a refund since I know they received the suspension crap back. first they just refunded me the money for the suspension stuff. then I asked why I should have to pay for the shipping of it to me when I never wanted it and also asked why the charge for the ramp (under the name Cordesign) wasn't refunded. Then refunded the shipping charge but not the ramp. So I said I'd give them a couple days to refund that. They didn't so I emailed them saying I'd file a dispute with the credit card company. This finally prompted a call from the VP of the company yesterday. I returned his cal this morning and he said he'd get it refunded today.

This whole situation is pretty sad considering it could have been avoided had they just notified me in some way back when I first ordered the ramp that it was on backorder. I would still like one of their ramps because I saw Bwhips at Grattan and it is pretty nice, but I won't give them a single dime because of how terrible they've been through whole ordeal.

Re: readyramp.com (and readylift) SUCK *UPDATED*

That is a bunch of bullshit dude and I completely agree with the principal of the tale, f them.

More bullshit is that I have (2) 12x77" arched aluminum ramps hanging in my garage that I'd have dropped off at your doorstep had I read this thread

thanks for the offer. the wood ramps and 50ft of rope worked out pretty well loading and keeping everything secure. I think there was like 12 people that helped me unload the bike. and I got it up into the truck too quick before anyone got the chance to help me load it back up
