XT racing lap timer

Got myself a XT racing lap timer. So far I'm really happy with it. Real easy to use and install. Just use the provided velcro strip and you're good to go. Plenty of info after each session and a good built in memory.

The goal is to have the lowest number possible on the display after each lap...... So far mine is working fine

It's a neat product to know how much you improved.

Welcome to XT Racing

I'm really happy with mine, but I'm having a hard time trying to make the numbers smaller.

Re: XT racing lap timer

I understand there is a place that will be offering some real whipass holders for those very soon.

Re: XT racing lap timer

I still need to work out a mount for mine. If you take the little plastic cover off the damper arm there's 2 perfectly spaced screw-holes for a little bent chunk of sheetmetal.

I've got one of these. But a certian machinest (or whatever) was inquiring about these some time ago. I'm guessing it was recon.

Lap Timer Holders, Inc - Home of the original Lap Timer Holder

FWIW, I really like mine.

Re: XT racing lap timer

The XT is decent unit but it does not like moisture. If you have a trackday when it is raining, take it off and put it up in a dry place.

You remember how my timer was mounted?
Just wait.

I don't have any on this PC. When I get home I can oblige.

That's what I've got on mine, too. Mounts right on the top of the left fork tube, which is the perfect location.

Re: XT racing lap timer

I attach mine to the bracket that holds my brake fluid reservoir on (it's an aftermarket Brembo, so I had to make a bracket).

Re: XT racing lap timer

I thought I had a picture with the upper on, but this is the best representation I can find at the moment.
The timer is right in front of your face, no need to look away from forward. Can still see the tach, gear indicator, gas guage and temp clear as day.
All necessary information in one area without having to take your eyes off the task at hand.

Re: XT racing lap timer

I sell the lap timer holders They retail for $30 on the lap timer holder site. I"ll sell them to the members for $28 shipped. That comes out to be about $23 before shipping. I have a variety of fork tube sizes, but not many 50mm left.
Here's a pic of on on my RC. BTW I only have black at this price and only for the xt timers. One other thing, these do not work well with the gulf wing top clamp. They will mount but will be at an angle and you may have to remove the cover over the ignition.

Edited my post about the fit on the gulf wing type top clamps.
here's a pic with the smaller mycron timer on. It barely fits. You can still mount it but you would have to rotate the holder upward to clear the ignition
